Tämän pro gradu -tutkielman tarkoitus on tarkastella ruotsinsuomalaisten paluumuuttajien ajatuksia äidinkielestä ja kaksikielisyydestä, sekä kuvailla heidän kielellistä identiteettiään. Paluumuuttajilla tarkoitetaan tässä yhteydessä sellaisia suomalaisia, jotka ovat asuneet Suomessa ja vähintään viisi vuotta Ruotsissa. Tavoitteena on selvittää miten paluumuuttajat määrittelevät äidinkielen ja kaksikielisyyden. Lisäksi pyritään kuvailemaan heidän suhdettaan sekä suomen että ruotsin kieleen. Intra-EU Mobility: The Employment and Welfare Experience of Temporary EU Workers in the United Kingdom

This article explores the mobility pathways of temporary EU workers and the implications that transnational temporary mobility has on their labor market outcomes and access to social rights and benefits. The experiences of temporary EU migrants working in the UK show that despite the narrative of the borderlessness of the common European labor market, access to host countries’ labor market and welfare is shaped by their employment status and welfare eligibility criteria that produce worker precariousness. Temporary EU workers’ experiences are characterized by employment insecurity and unequal access to labor and social rights, effects which might increase since the UK has left the EU.

Tämä Tansaniaan sijoittuva väitöskirjatutkimus tarkastelee vammaisuutta kehityskysymyksenä seksuaali- ja lisääntymisterveyden ja -oikeuksien kautta. Se edistää intersektionaalista ja kontekstisidonnaista ymmärrystä vammaisuudesta, sukupuolesta ja nuoruudesta. Tutkimuksen teoreettisena inspiraationa hyödynnettiin vammaisuuden sosiaalista ja ihmisoikeusmallia. Tutkimus haastaa tiedonhankinnan kolonialiteetteja perehtymällä 199 tansanialaisen eri tavoin vammaisen tytön näkemyksiin. Profiles of Nature Exposure and Outdoor Activities Associated With Occupational Well-Being Among Employees.

This research addresses the profiles of nature exposure and outdoor activities in nature among Finnish employees (N = 783). The profiles were formed on the bases of nature exposure at work and the frequency and type of outdoor activities in nature engaged in during leisure time. The profiles were investigated in relation to work engagement and burnout. The latent profile analysis identified a five-class solution as the best model: High exposure (8%), Versatile exposure (22%), Unilateral exposure (38%), Average exposure (13%), and Low exposure (19%). On the dynamics of disobedience: experimental investigations of defying unjust authority.

Across six Experimental conditions with university student participants (N=600), we examined some of the dynamics underlying expressed defiance to unjust authority. Results revealed disobedience was best enacted by participants low in right-wing authoritarianism and was more likely to occur when: 1) in physical proximity of other rebels, 2) the authority made two demanding requests instead of one, and 3) there had been an earlier opposition to injustice. Results are discussed within the theoretical framework of bounded rationality.
