The distribution of atrial electrogram types has been proposed to characterise human atrial fibrillation. The aim of this study was to provide computer procedures for evaluating the local organisation of intracardiac recordings during AF as an alternative to off-line manual classification. Principal components analysis (PCA) reduced the data set to a few representative activations, and cluster analysis (CA) measured the average dissimilarity between consecutive activations of an intracardiac signal. Introduction: Since 2008, new oral anticoagulants (NOACs) have been approved for the prevention of venous thromboembolism (VTE) in patients receiving hip or knee replacement surgery, prevention of stroke and systemic embolism in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF), treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and pulmonary embolism (PE). Premarketing randomized clinical trials (RCTs) of NOACs demonstrated their non-inferiority in terms of efficacy vs. warfarin (traditional oral anticoagulant–TOA), with lower risk of serious adverse drug reactions, especially cerebral hemorrhages. Izpētīti interjeru veidojošie dizaina faktori, kā arī merčendaizinga noteikumi tirdzniecības telpas izveidei. Empīriskajā daļā tiek veikts salīdzinošais pētījums, analizējot optikas salonu interjerus gan Latvijā, gan pasaulē. Izvērtēta to atbilstība mūsdienīgam funkcijām un izveides pamatprincipiem. En esta Tesis Doctoral se analizan datos procedentes de dos misiones espaciales de observación de la Tierra que han coincidido en el tiempo, SMOS (Soil Moisture Ocean Salinity), de la European Space Agency (ESA) y Aquarius, de la National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). A new technique, to the best of our knowledge, for the characterization of the effective refractive index modulation in optical fibers due to transverse acoustic mode resonances excited by electrostriction is reported. The resonances excited by an optical pulse are probed by a narrow bandwidth long-period grating (LPG) inscribed in the fiber, which is interrogated by a continuous wave (CW) beam. The LPG used in this experiment has a narrow bandwidth and high sensitivity to small mode index perturbations, allowing the measurement of index variations from below 10 − 9 to 10 − 6 .
