MTOR inhibitor-based combination therapies for pancreatic cancer

Background: Although the mechanistic target of rapamycin (MTOR) kinase, included in the mTORC1 and mTORC2 signalling hubs, has been demonstrated to be active in a significant fraction of patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), the value of the kinase as a therapeutic target needs further clarification. Methods: We used Mtor floxed mice to analyse the function of the kinase in context of the pancreas at the genetic level. Using a dual-recombinase system, which is based on the flippase-FRT (Flp-FRT) and Cre-loxP recombination technologies, we generated a novel cellular model, allowing the genetic analysis of MTOR functions in tumour maintenance. The Rohingya is an ethnic-religious Muslim minority that has struggled with serious human rights violations for decades. Indian migration to Burma, stimulated by British colonial rule, is pointed to as the main cause of the Muslim-Buddhist conflict. Although Indians in Burma currently constitute a fraction of the population (2.3%), resentment remained. Bakalaura darbā tiek apskatīts tiesas debašu regulējums Kriminālprocesa likumā un citu valstu kriminālprocesa kodeksos, kā arī analizēti gaidāmo grozījumu Kriminālprocesa likumā (Nr. 427/Lp13) apsvērumi. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt tiesas debašu nozīmi un saturu kriminālprocesā, kā arī noskaidrot to ilguma ierobežošanas nepieciešamību un ietekmi uz iztiesāšanas norisi. Savstarpējās atzīšanas princips pārrobežu kriminālprocesos ir viens no galvenajiem principiem, kurš ir atzīts kā “stūrakmens” valstu savstarpējai sadarbībai krimināllietās. Darba tēma ir aktuāla tādēļ, ka pārvietošanās uz citu valsti paliek arvien vieglāka, taču sadarbības trūkums starp tām veicina noziedznieku izbēgšanu no soda saņemšanas un izciešanas.
