In this study cytotoxicity of organotin(IV) compounds with 1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidines, Me3Sn(5tpO) (1), n-Bu3Sn(5tpO) (2), Me3Sn(mtpO) (3), n-Bu3Sn(mtpO) (4), n-Bu3Sn(HtpO2) (5), Ph3Sn(HtpO2) (6) where 5HtpO = 4,5-dihydro-5-oxo-[1,2,4]triazolo-[1,5-a]pyrimidine, HmtpO = 4,7-dihydro-5-methyl-7-oxo-[1,2,4]triazolo-[1,5-a]pyrimidine, and H2tpO2 = 4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-5,7- dioxo-[1,2,4]triazolo-[1,5-a]-pyrimidine, was assessed on three different human tumor cell lines: HCT-116 (colorectal carcinoma), HepG2 (hepatocarcinoma) and MCF-7 (breast cancer). Interactions of metal ions with a 2,4-diaminopyrimidine derivative (trimethoprim)

The interaction of copper (II), zinc(II) and cadmium(II) with Trimethoprim (2,4-diamino-5-(3',4',5'-trimethoxybenzyl) pyrimidine) has been studied. The crystal structures of [Zn(Trim)2Cl2] (2) and [Cd(Trim)Cl2(CH3OH)]n (4) are reported. Compound (2) exhibits a distorted tetrahedral environment around the metal center and crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1 with a=10.2397(6), b=10.4500(6), c=16.3336(16) A, alpha=96.141(8), beta=106.085(5), gamma=96.551(5) degrees and Z=2. Preparation and structural characterization of Ph3Sn(IV)+ complexes with pyridinecarboxylic acids or hydroxypyridene, -pyrimidine and –quinoline.

A number of [Ph3Sn(IV)](+) complexes formed with ligands containing -OH (-C=O), or -COOH group(s) and aromatic IN) donor atom have been prepared. The binding sites of the ligands were identified by FT-IR spectroscopic measurements. In the complexes containing hydroxy and carboxylate functions, the carboxylato group is coordinated to the organotin(IV) centres in monodentate or bridging bidentate manner. It was also found that in the hydroxypyridine and -pyrimidine complexes the [Ph3Sn(IV)]+ moiety in most cases reacts with the phenolic form of the ligands. Abstract The organotin(IV) compounds Me2SnCl2(dbtp)(1), Me2SnCl2(dbtp)2 (2), Et2SnCl2(dbtp) (3), Et2SnCl2(dbtp)2 (4), Et2SnCl2(dptp) (5), nBu2SnCl2(dbtp)2 (6), nBu2SnCl2(dptp) (7), Ph2SnCl2(dbtp) (8), Ph2SnCl2(EtOH)2(dptp)2 (9), where dbtp = 5,7-di-tert-butyl-1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine and dptp = 5,7-diphenyl-1,2,4-triazolo [1,5-a]pyrimidine, have been tested by MTT for their cytotoxic activity on three tumor cell lines, HepG2 (human hepatocellular carcinoma), HeLa (human cervix adenocarcinoma) and MCF-7 (human breast cancer). Pyrimethanil is a widely used post-harvest fungicide whose residues are commonly found in fruits and vegetables. We herein report the synthesis of two new functionalized derivatives of pyrimethanil carrying an equivalent spacer arm at different positions of the molecule. The influence of the linker tethering site on the affinity of monoclonal antibodies was shown. Moreover, the development of competitive immunoassays in different formats and with high sensitivity to the target analyte - IC50 values below 0.3μg/L - is described. Univariate near infrared methods for determination of pesticides in agrochemicals

Abstract It has been developed a general strategy for the determination of pesticides in agrochemicals by Fourier transform near infrared (FT-NIR) spectroscopy. The methodology is based on previous extraction of the active principles through sonication with acetonitrile and direct determination by transmission measurements, using glass vials as measurement cells and univariate calibration at selected wavenumbers as a function of the pesticide to be analyzed. Chlorsulfuron, metamitron, iprodione, pirimicarb, procymidone and tricyclazole were used as test molecules and data obtained by FT-NIR for 20 samples containing one of these active principles compare well with those found by reference l…
