Alcune considerazioni sul danno all'immagine della Pubblica Amministrazione

2020

The profound change in the administrative structure has given central importance to damage to the image of the Public Administration in the context of administrative liability. The regulations in force, which are the result of an increasingly creative interpretation of a regulatory framework that was already insufficient in terms of logic and content, raise numerous questions in terms of both legitimacy and efficiency. In fact, as things stand, the main legal issues relating to damage to the image of the Public Administration are controversial in relation to both the legal nature – patrimonial, non-patrimonial or ‘punitive’ – and the identification of the range of figures attributable to su…

2013

The author moves from the premise that the quantum of compensation in specific form can be greater than monetary compensation and aims to show that Article 2058 of the Italian Civil Code gives legal relevance to the different way in which damages are compensated through compensation in specific form rather than monetary compensation. This offers the legal justification for the greater economic value of compensation in specific form as it includes both the cost of damage and the cost to compensate it.

Ultrafast optics in coherently spinning molecules

2020

This thesis reports on the study of unidirectional rotation of molecules and focuses on the rotational Doppler effect occuring in the course of third-harmonic generation in coherently spinning molecules. The rotational Doppler effect appears when a circularly polarized wave interacts with an anisotropic rotating object. During the interaction, an exchange of angular momentum and energy between the field and the object occurs, leading to a frequency shift of the wave. In this work, the frequency shift of the third-harmonic generated in unidirectionaly rotating molecules has been observed. An anlytical model developped in the mansucript forsees four kinds of frequency shifts depending on the m…

Problematics of Bonds in Hugh MacDiarmid's Poetry

2012

Hugh MacDiarmid is considered the most important Scottish poet of the 20th century. He is mostly celebrated for the Scots lyrics he wrote in the 1920s and his long poem A Drunk Man Looks at the Thistle, published in 1926. Because of their fragmentation, the poems of the Thirties, most of which were part of the unpublished project Mature Art, and In Memoriam James Joyce (1955), have not attracted the same critical attention. However, they represent the culmination of a very complex stylistic crisis that this study offers to analyse thanks to the question of bonds, especially problematic bonds. The poetry portrays humanity torn by social division, treason and death, but it deals with loss too…

Development of electrodes materials for SOFC fed by natural gas / biogas. Applications to "pre-reforming" and "single-chamber" concepts

2010

Solid Oxide Fuel Cell is a device for “clean” electricity production from chemical energy. The new configuration called “single-chamber” seems to be very attractive with several advantages over bi-chamber conventional configuration: easier manufacturing, lowering of working temperature, possible use of hydrocarbons as fuel… Such configuration involves the development of new electrode materials satisfying new requirements. The evaluation of 7 potential cathode materials through several characterizations has shown that a compromise has to be found since one material does not exhibit all the requested features. A library of 15 supported catalysts (3 metals and 5 supports) was developed. These …
