The Imperative of Addressing the Contemporary Crisis of Economics with Spiritual Intelligence

Abstract The current global economic crisis has also drawn an increasingly obvious crisis of the economic theories. Thereby are more and more voices that calls for quitting the rather mechanistic, mathematical, determinist or pure rational approaches in favor of either sociological, psychological, historical, cultural or merely ethical ones, or, most often, a combination of some or all of these. In this paper I argue that the most needed approaches are now the anthropological ones that start from the spiritual considerations about human intelligence.
Treasure Hunts in the Nineteenth and Twentieth Centuries

The religious dimension of the treasure hunt declined as the nineteenth century progressed. The belief in ghosts lost ground or transformed into spiritualism and an interest in the more or less vulgarized forms of what would become known as ‘parapsychology’.1 Without the ghosts who needed to be redeemed, the religious overtones of treasure hunting disappeared. Even news about treasure in an ecclesiastical context was void of spiritual meaning.

Darba ietvaros ir apkopota informācija par populārākajām spējās izstrādes metodēm un ūdenskrituma metodi, kā arī veikta telekomunikāciju uzņēmuma 3 projektu izpēte, kuri veidoti, katrs izmantojot savu metodi, pēc dažādiem kritērijiem - gan vispārīgiem, gan skaitliskiem. Rezultātā ir izveidotas vadlīnijas, pēc kurām noteikt, kura metode katram projekta ir piemērotākā.

Abstract Background: A substantial proportion of patients fail first line treatment of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. Currently available salvage therapies are often ineffective and cannot be tolerated, especially for elderly patients. Thus, probably less than 25% of patients achieve a long lasting remission. Regimens like gemcitabine/oxaliplatin, or bendamustin, both in combination with rituximab are available for elderly or after failure of HDT, however induce only short lived responses. Abstract Much is known about mechanisms and regulation of phenoxy acid herbicide degradation at the organism level, whereas the effects of environmental factors on the performance of the phenoxy acid degrading communities in soils are much less clear. In a microcosm experiment we investigated the small-scale effect of litter addition on the functioning of the MCPA degrading communities. 14 C labelled MCPA was applied and the functional genes tfdA and tfdAα were quantified to characterise bacterial MCPA degradation. Immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is a rare autoimmune disorder caused by peripheral platelet destruction and inappropriate bone marrow production. The management of ITP is based on the utilization of steroids, intravenous immunoglobulins, rituximab, thrombopoietin receptor agonists (TPO-RAs), immunosuppressants and splenectomy. Recent advances in the understanding of its pathogenesis have opened new fields of therapeutic interventions.
