Mitruma ietekme uz būvkonstrukcijām un komforta apstākļiem telpās

Darbā analizēts kā būvēs no atšķirīgiem konstrukciju materiāliemmainās mitruma līmenis gan gaisā, gan pašās konstrukcijāsatkarībā no āra gaisa relatīvā mitruma, temperatūras, ventilācijas intensitātes un ūdens iztvaikošanas intensitātes telpā. Šādi tika pētīts arī kā cilvēka izdalītais mitrums ietekmē telpu mikroklimatu. Analizējot ilgtermiņa monitoringa datus parādīts, ka faktiskās būvkonstrukciju siltuma caurlaidības vērtības var būtiski atšķirties no aprēķinātajām vērtībām un būtiski mainīties arī būvju ekspluatācijas laikā.

Longitudinal and cross-sectional associations of adherence to 24-hour movement guidelines with cardiometabolic risk

This study aimed to examine 1) adherence to 24-hour movement guidelines over a 2-year follow-up in children aged 6-8 years and 2) association of this adherence with cardiometabolic risk factors. Physical activity and sleep were assessed by a monitor combining heart rate and accelerometry measurements. Screen time was reported by the parents. Body fat percentage, waist circumference, blood glucose, serum insulin, plasma lipids and blood pressure were assessed, and a cardiometabolic risk score was calculated using z-scores. Role of hypogonadism in development of bone alterations in thalassemic patients

Although transfusions and chelation therapy have improved survival of patients afflicted with Thalassemia Major (TM), endocrine alterations are still common complications. Particularly, hypogonadism plays an important role in the aetiology of osteoporosis in these patients. It is clear that in most patients the gonadal failure is a consequence of a pituitary damage and that a hypogonadotropic hypogonadism occurs; nevertheless, also a gonadal damage because of iron deposition may be a further cause of hypogonadism. The names of mountains can perform the function of localization (a relation between an object and the toponym), characterization (the topographic character of an object, the shape of an object, the quality of substrate, the fauna and flora in an area), they can express the relation between an object and a man (possessive names) and they can be a reflection of material or spiritual culture.
