Anomaly-free scale symmetry and gravity

In this Letter, we address the question of whether the conformal invariance can be considered as a global symmetry of a theory of fundamental interactions. To describe Nature, this theory must contain a mechanism of spontaneous breaking of the scale symmetry. Besides that, the fundamental theory must include gravity, whereas all known extensions of the conformal invariance to the curved space-time suffer from the Weyl anomaly. We show that conformal symmetry can be made free from the quantum anomaly only in the flat space. Synchrony, or the moment-by-moment coordination between people in social situations, has been connected with increased liking and rapport. However, this type of synchrony is an underexplored area with regard to autonomic nervous system activity. The purpose of this research was to study physiological synchrony between participants in couple therapy by focusing on the sympathetic nervous system (SNS), which reflects arousal and emotional reactions. Background: Research on interpersonal synchrony has mostly focused on a single modality, and hence little is known about the connections between different types of social attunement. In this study, the relationship between sympathetic nervous system synchrony, movement synchrony, and the amount of speech were studied in couple therapy. Methods: Data comprised 12 couple therapy cases (24 clients and 10 therapists working in pairs as co-therapists). Julkishallinnon organisaatioiden käyttämä virkakieli on tärkeä yhteiskunnallisen viestinnän ja hallinnon asiakassuhteiden ylläpidon väline. Virkakieltä on huollettu Suomessa jo pitkään, mutta silti kielenhuoltajat tunnistavat siinä edelleen huomattavia ongelmia, jotka haittaavat hallinnon ja sen asiakkaiden välistä viestintää. Hallinnon tehtävänä on palvella yhteiskuntaa ja asiakkaitaan, joten sen kielenkäytöllä on merkitystä. Hallinnon kielenkäyttöä ohjeistetaan muun muassa lainsäädännöllä. Kroonistuneen alaselkäkivun kuntoutuksessa suositellaan aktiivista kuntoutusta, jossa yhdistyvät fyysinen harjoittelu ja moniammatillinen biopsykososiaalinen kuntoutus. Biopsykososiaalisessa lähestymistavassa vuorovaikutus ja asiakaskeskeisyys ovat tärkeässä roolissa hoitoon sitoutumiselle ja sen onnistumiselle. Sädehoidossa potilaalle tehdään yksilöllinen annossuunnitelma, jonka mukaan hoito toteutetaan. Kaikilta annokseen vaikuttavilta tekijöiltä vaaditaan suurta tarkkuutta. Uusi lähestymistapa annossuunnitelmien laadunvarmistukseen on tiedonlouhintaan ja koneoppimiseen perustuvien menetelmien hyödyntäminen. Kyseisillä menetelmillä voidaan muodostaa hoidossa aiemmin toteutetuista annossuunnitelmista malli, jonka avulla voidaan havaita uusien annossuunnitelmien poikkeavuudet, ja näin lisätä sädehoidon turvallisuutta. Tutkimuksessa selvitettiin, millaiseksi Lapin musiikkiopiston tilaussävellys, oppilasorkesteriteos Revontuulet, ja sen sävellysprosessi muotoutuivat säveltäjän ja musiikkiopiston välisessä vuorovaikutuksessa. Tilaussävellys oli osa valtakunnallista Säveltäjä musiikkioppilaitoksessa -hanketta, johon Lapin musiikkiopisto osallistui valitsemalla kotisäveltäjäkseen yhden lukuvuoden ajaksi säveltäjä Sanna Ahvenjärven.
