The Abelian Kernel of an Inverse Semigroup

The problem of computing the abelian kernel of a finite semigroup was first solved by Delgado describing an algorithm that decides whether a given element of a finite semigroup S belongs to the abelian kernel. Steinberg extended the result for any variety of abelian groups with decidable membership. In this paper, we used a completely different approach to complete these results by giving an exact description of the abelian kernel of an inverse semigroup. An abelian group that gives this abelian kernel was also constructed.
Nenoteiksmes lietojums programmatūras rokasgrāmatās

Šī pētījuma mērķis ir izpētīt nenoteiksmes lietojumu Microsoft programmatūras rokasgrāmatās. Šis pētījums var būt noderīgs tehniskajiem rakstniekiem, kuri izstrādā jaunu tehnisko dokumentāciju un lietotājiem, kuri interpretē un veic darbības, kas atbilst lietotāju vajadzībām. Lai veikt pētījumu, tika analizēti nenoteiksmes, diskursa analīze un tehniskā dokumentācijas jēdzieni. Pētījuma mērķa sasniegšanai tika izmantotas kvantitatīvās un kvalitatīvās metodes. Pētījuma rezultāti ir parādījuši, ka visbiežāk sastopamā nenoteiksmes funkcija ir saliktā izteicēja sastāvdaļa. Tajā paša laika, nenoteiksmes vienkāršā aktīvā forma ir visbiežāk sastopamā forma.

Exploring the critical incident technique to encourage reflection during project-based learning

Previous research has reported on the challenge of promoting students' generic reflection during authentic project-based courses. This work explores a teaching intervention based on Flanagan's Critical Incident Technique (CIT) during a project-based software development course. The intervention aims at increasing students' awareness of their own learning and at encouraging reflective practice throughout the project. Students were asked to report on 'incidents' when they experienced learning during the course, and to reflect on the task itself at the end of the course. Además, la actividad final es que los estudiantes sepan hacer propuestas para mejorar la situación actual en España y en sus respectivos países. Mediante vídeos, fotografías, titulares de periódico e incluso poemas los aprendientes conocerán las causas de la crisis económica así como la forma que tienen los españoles de afrontar la crisis. The Significance of Silent Moments in Creating Words for the Not-Yet-Spoken Experiences in Threat of Divorce

In the context of couple therapy involving the threat of divorce, the study examined the significance of silent moments for arriving at words for the not-yet-spoken experiences. It also examined whether interactional and embodied synchrony occurred during such silent moments. A mixed method analysis was conducted, focusing on the therapeutic dialogue, psychophysiological data (the Autonomic Nervous System, ANS), and the participants’ thoughts and feelings during individual Stimulated Recall interviews.
