Synthesis and anti-HIV activity of 2,3-diaryl-1,3-thiazolidin-4-(thi)one derivatives.

Several 2,3-diaryl-1,3-thiazolidine-4-thione derivatives and 2,3-diaryl-1,3-thiazolidin-4-ones bearing a methyl group at C-5 position have been synthesized and tested as anti-HIV agents. The results of the in vitro tests showed that some of them proved to be effective inhibitors of HIV-1 replication.

Abstract The derivation of leaf area index (LAI) from satellite optical data has been the subject of a large amount of work. In contrast, few papers have addressed the effective model inversion of high resolution satellite images for a complete series of data for the various crop species in a given region. The present study is focused on the assessment of a LAI model inversion approach applied to multitemporal optical data, over an agricultural region having various crop types with different crop calendars. Il tient compte des renouvellements fauniques, des données séquentielles ainsi que des données historiques. Il est enrichi de quatre biohorizons nouveaux. Le Barrémien supérieur comporte à présent les trois biozones (anciennement six) à Vandenheckei, Sartousiana et Giraudi. La première contient les trois sous-zones à Uhligi, dont le statut est discuté, Sayni et Barremense, ainsi que les deux nouveaux biohorizons à Marchandi et Breistrofferi (sommet de la Sous-Zone à Barremense). Abstract This paper investigates the coastal cities of Abidjan, Cotonou, Lagos and Douala in West Africa. Published data on these areas were aggregated in order to compare the urban development of some African huge cities and assess their impacts on groundwater. Those urban centers have experienced an exponential demographic expansion since the 1950s, with increased population densities and a geographical coverage expansion as well.
