The following paper analyzes the plot of the 1934 film It Happened One Night, by Frank Capra, an authentic emblem within the film genre of romantic comedy. In it, the protagonists manage to overcome the obstacles that are offered in their way thanks to the pretense of a relationship, the marital one, which finally will end up becoming effective.
