Modeling and control of uncertain nonlinear systems

A survey of the methodologies associated with the modeling and control of uncertain nonlinear systems has been given due importance in this paper. The basic criteria that highlights the work is relied on the various patterns of techniques incorporated for the solutions of fuzzy equations that corresponds to fuzzy controllability subject. The solutions which are generated by these equations are considered to be the controllers. Currently, numerical techniques have come out as superior techniques in order to solve these types of problems. The implementation of neural networks technique is contributed in the complex way of dealing the appropriate coefficients and solutions of the fuzzy systems.

Registration of Surfaces Minimizing Error Propagation for a One-Shot Multi-Slit Hand-Held Scanner

We propose an algorithm for the on-line automatic registration of multiple 3D surfaces acquired in a sequence by a new hand-held laser scanner. The laser emitter is coupled with an optical lens that spreads the light forming 19 parallel slits that are projected to the scene and acquired with subpixel accuracy by a camera. Splines are used to interpolate the acquired profiles to increase the sample of points and Delaunay triangulation is used to obtain the normal vectors at every point. New delay-dependent stability of Markovian jump neutral stochastic systems with general unknown transition rates

This paper investigates the delay-dependent stability problem for neutral Markovian jump systems with generally unknown transition rates GUTRs. In this neutral GUTR model, each transition rate is completely unknown or only its estimate value is known. Based on the study of expectations of the stochastic cross-terms containing the integral, a new stability criterion is derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities. In the mathematical derivation process, bounding stochastic cross-terms, model transformation and free-weighting matrix are not employed for less conservatism. Finally, an example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed results.

Unexplored alternative use of calcareous sludge from the paper-pulp industry in green geopolymer construction materials

Abstract Calcareous sludge is an alkaline waste produced by the paper pulp industry that is commonly disposed of in land-fill. However, recent studies and the European regulations discourage such practice. The Co-cathedral of San Nicolás de Alicante still preserves an important treasure of pieces of silverware, ranging from the 17th to the 20th centuries, although the greatest development was known during the 18th century, with sumptuous commissions to the most prominent silversmiths both locally as at regional and national level. In this way, it can be said that the Alicante trousseau is a good example of a temple that, once built, focuses its efforts on the collection of silverware objects that enhance the cult and its ceremonies.

Abstract In the standard AK growth model we introduce the threat of an ecological catastrophe and study the consequences for the economic variables in the long-run. We extend the basic framework by considering two environmental externalities: the first one is local and gives account of the marginal damage from emissions flow; the second one is aggregate, or global, and relates to the extreme damage which may happen if the accumulated stock of pollutants is on the threshold of a worldwide catastrophe.
