Disparities in nutritional adequacy of diets between different socioeconomic groups of Finnish adults

Information on dietary adequacy is needed to assess food and nutrition security in a modern society, especially in the transition towards climate-friendly food systems. In this study, differences in the nutritional adequacy of diets among Finnish adults were evaluated in population groups of different education, income and urbanisation levels. The study used data from the FinDiet 2017 Survey (n = 1655, 18–74 years). Modelled usual intakes of foods and nutrients were evaluated relative to food-based dietary guidelines issued by the National Nutrition Council of Finland (FNNC) and with respect to nutrient adequacy following the Nordic Nutrition Recommendations and FNNC. Geometry of Quadrangles in Almqvist’s The Queen’s Tiara

Quadrangles are repeatedly used in construction of scenes in Swedish author C. J. L. Almqvist’s novel The Queen’s Tiara. They limit and frame views. Repeating these structures creates connections between scenes. They form in relations between characters. Several quadrangular structures form around one main character called Tintomara, when she involuntarily attracts characters that fall in love in her. Also, quadrangles inside and beside each other are visible in scenes. Almqvist presented these forms in the elementary geometry textbook he published a year before this novel. peerReviewed

Erythrocruorins from many annelid species have been studied by many authors. In spite of the great similarity of most physicochemical properties and of the electron-micrographs of these proteins, some debated experimental data divide the scientific community, e.g. the Mr of the whole molecule (ranging from 2,500 to 4,1000 kDa) and, in consequence, the Mr of the 1/12 molecules, the Mr and number of the smallest covalently bound subunits and the Mr and number of the globin-like monomers (1).

Vuonna 2016 käyttöön otetuissa perusopetuksen opetussuunnitelman perusteissa osa B1-oppimäärän ruotsin kielen opetuksesta siirtyi yläluokilta alaluokille. Toisen kotimaisen kielen, ruotsin, keskipitkän oppimäärän opiskelu aloitetaan nykyisin jo kuudennella vuosiluokalla. Tämän muutoksen osana myös luokanopettajien opetustehtäviin tuli mukaan ruotsin kielen opettaminen. Ruotsin kieltä voi siis opiskelun alkaessa opettaa alaluokilla sekä luokanopettaja että ruotsin kielen aineenopettaja. Myös kielikylpykoulutuksen koulutusohjelman suorittanut opettaja on kelpoinen opettamaan ruotsin kieltä. Ruotsin kielen opetus siirtyi alkamaan 6. luokalta uuden perusopetuksen opetussuunnitelman myötä. Keskustelua ovat aiheuttaneet esimerkiksi tuntijako, opettajien kielitaito ja ruotsin opetuksen pedagogiikka alakoulussa. Artikkelissa käsitellään Aikuis- ja täydennyskoulutuspalvelut AIKOPAn järjestämää opettajien täydennyskoulutusta, jossa pyrittiin parantamaan ruotsia opettavien aineenhallintaa ja pedagogista osaamista.
