This article presents the history of one of the largest Polish cemeteries in the Eastern Borderlands. Thousands of Poles, including artists, poets, writers, sculptors, prominent politicians, local government officials and soldiers fighting for Polish independence in various uprisings, were buried in the Sapieżyński Cemetery during its 200-year-long history. The necropolis was closed down by the Soviet authorities in 1980, and the entire area was bulldozed. Crushed tombstones were transported outside the city, and a theater building and a hotel were developed on the site. Every year before Christmas, the weekly newspaper “Gość Niedzielny” prepares materials to be used by parish priests in their work with children during Advent (during rorate missa). Each year they oscillate around one topic. One of the fixed components of the whole set that parishes receive is the so-called Rorate song, which is delivered in musical notation and as recorded music material. The authors and performers are artists associated with the scene of CCM in Poland. These materials have repeatedly aroused controversy. Parish priests emphasise their attractiveness, church musicians question their liturgicality. The paper analyses this phenomenon.

AbstractThe article gives an overview of current treatment options for metastatic hormone receptor-positive and HER2-negative breast cancer. The focus is on combined therapies, e.g., with CDK4/6 inhibition compared with purely endocrine-based therapies in the pre- and postmenopause, presenting the latest study results. The addition of a CDK4/6 inhibitor to endocrine-based therapy with an aromatase inhibitor or fulvestrant leads to a marked improvement in progression-free survival and is independently beneficial whether palbociclib, ribociclib or abemaciclib is involved.
