E' mostrata l'applicazione di un sistema combinato di letture strumentali finalizzate all'ottenimento di una diagnosi attraverso un approccio dall'elevato rigore scientifico. Le analisi strumentali sono svolte nella chiesa di Sant'Anna a Palermo. The graphs show the application of a combined system of instrumental readings aimed to obtain a diagnosis through a high scientific and rigorous approach. The instrumental tests are executed in the St. Anne church in Palermo.

The paper presents the results of a campaign of non-destructive and minimally invasive tests that were conducted in the former mother church of Santa Margherita di Belice (Agrigento, Sicily), damaged during the earthquake in 1968 and now re-used as a “Museum of Memory”. It includes a summary of the refl ections that arose during the preliminary surveys and instrumental tests, and reasons that supported the choice of investigations to be performed and methods to be specifi cally applied for the conservation of the architectural heritage. Abstract – Multidisciplinary geophysical investigations have been carried out in a small area of the Greek archaeological site of Kamarina, in southern Sicily, in order to support some hypotheses, derived from historical and archaeological bases. After an aerial photographic and thermographic survey, a small area near to the Agora has been considered for magnetometric and GPR investigations. Obtained results show a good correlation and allow to highlight some structures oriented in agreement with the uncovered remains. The use of integrated geophysical techniques allowed a more robust interpretation of the detected anomalies in order to better address the choices for new excavations.

The church of Santa Maria Maddalena d'Alga is located in the historic center of Palermo and belongs to the monumental complex of the military district of San Giacomo, in the ancient western fortified area of the city. Today the area hosts a vast military complex, seat of the Command of the Carabinieri Legion of Sicily. The church is elevated with respect to the current floor. During some maintenance works of the church, for the installation of air conditioners, some georadar surveys were carried out to verify the presence of crypts or tombs under the pavement. Il canale tra le isole di Sicilia e Malta si trova in una delle principali rotte marittime del Mediterraneo e in una regione strategica per le piattaforme di estrazione petrolifera, quindi seriamente esposta al rischio di eventi di sversamento di idrocarburi in mare. Ciò può costituire una grave minaccia agli ecosistemi locali e alle attività economiche, tra le quali il turismo e la pesca. I danni derivanti da un eventuale sversamento sarebbero incalcolabili per l'arcipelago maltese, dove le risorse marine ed il turismo rappresentano i principali proventi economici e, in maniera analoga, per la Sicilia.
