This paper analyzes the use of the preposition u and na in locative constructions with the term Ukraine in the language of Rusyns from Bačka and Syrmia in the 20-30s of the XX century. The following periodicals were taken into consideration: the newspaper “Ruski Novini” of the Rusyns Society for Education and the newspaper “Zarja” and “Kalendar - Zarja” of the Cultural and Educational Union of the Rusyns of Yugoslavia. The use of both prepositions before the specified term is attested, and that is in line with the Ukrainian linguistic tradition. The use of these prepositions in locative constructions with terms Podkarpatska Rus, Karpatska Ukrajina and Hornitsa is also considered.

Search for photons with energies above 1018 eV using the hybrid detector of the Pierre Auger Observatory

A search for ultra-high energy photons with energies above 1 EeV is performed using nine years of data collected by the Pierre Auger Observatory in hybrid operation mode. An unprecedented separation power between photon and hadron primaries is achieved by combining measurements of the longitudinal air-shower development with the particle content at ground measured by the fluorescence and surface detectors, respectively. Only three photon candidates at energies 1-2 EeV are found, which is compatible with the expected hadron-induced background. Diplomdarbs ir uzrakstīts angļu valodā uz 25 lapaspusēm. Tas satur 14 attēlus, 1 tabulu un 67 literatūras avotus. Binokulārā disparitāte ir būtiska mūsu trīsdimensiju uztverei. Lielākajā daļā pētījumu tik izmeklēta smadzeņu darbības disparitāte apstrādes laikā, savukārt garozas aktivitātei katra veida atšķirības laikā tika pievērsta ļoti maza uzmanība. Pētījuma mērķis ir novērtēt smadzeņu aktivitāti krustotās un nekrustotās disparitātes anaglifēšanas vizualizācijas laikā uz plakanpaneļa displeja. Aim Autophagy and unfolded protein response (UPR) appear to be important for skeletal muscle homoeostasis and may be altered by exercise. Our aim was to investigate the effects of resistance exercise and training on indicators of UPR and autophagy in healthy untrained young men (n = 12, 27 ± 4 years) and older men (n = 8, 61 ± 6 years) as well as in resistance‐trained individuals (n = 15, 25 ± 5 years).
