El presente documento tiene dos objetivos, en primer lugar, describir un nuevo sistema de cronometraje que proporciona feedback en tiempo real y sin interferir en la ejecución del nadador y, en segundo lugar, comprobar su utilidad. El sistema consiste en una pantalla de leds, resistente al agua e instalada en el fondo de la piscina, conectada a una Unidad Central mediante una plataforma de contacto colocada en la pared donde se realiza el viraje. Governing the Pandemic in Finland and Estonia

In this article, we analyze the management and political implications of COVID-19 in two small countries located at the EU’s north-eastern border: Finland and Estonia. Culturally, ethnically, and linguistically, they share a common Finno-Ugrian identity. Politically, both are parliamentary republics run by coalition governments. They were among the first countries in Europe to reopen borders for travel in June 2020 after almost three months of lockdown. Witnessing the experience of European bordering : watching the documentary Under den samme himmel in an immigration detention centre

This article draws on theories of bordering and mediated witnessing to examine a documentary film that mediates migrants’ experiences of bordering in Europe. My analysis of Under den samme himmel/Days of Hope shows how the film captures the multiplicity of bordering practices, from geographical to socio-cultural borderings. The analysis is informed by watching and discussing the film in an immigrant detention facility in Finland with people who experienced and eye-witnessed experiences similar to those depicted in the film. Compensation of compliance errors in parallel manipulators composed of non-perfect kinematic chains

The paper is devoted to the compliance errors compensation for parallel manipulators under external loading. Proposed approach is based on the non-linear stiffness modeling and reduces to a proper adjusting of a target trajectory. In contrast to previous works, in addition to compliance errors caused by machining forces, the problem of assembling errors caused by inaccuracy in the kinematic chains is considered. The advantages and practical significance of the proposed approach are illustrated by examples that deal with groove milling with Orthoglide manipulator.
Compliance error compensation technique for parallel robots composed of non-perfect serial chains

The paper presents the compliance errors compensation technique for over-constrained parallel manipulators under external and internal loadings. This technique is based on the non-linear stiffness modeling which is able to take into account the influence of non-perfect geometry of serial chains caused by manufacturing errors. Within the developed technique, the deviation compensation reduces to an adjustment of a target trajectory that is modified in the off-line mode. These paper aims to determine the influence of the most important geometrical parameters (vertical step and punch diameter) on the main strains, thickness reduction and the forces along two directions during the single point incremental forming process (SPIF). The paper comprises a comparative numericalexperimental study, for a simple geometry part obtained by incremental forming. In fact, in the first stage, the punch has a vertical motion with the value of one vertical step. In the second stage, the punch follows a linear trajectory along one side of the die. Este trabajo describe la utilidad de un cortometraje para enseñar estrategias de afrontamiento positivas a los padres de hijos con cáncer. Para la realización del cortometraje se han utilizado los resultados de un trabajo de investigación sobre las estrategias de afrontamiento que utilizan los padres. Los resultados se extrajeron del análisis del discurso de los padres que participaron en un grupo de autoayuda durante ocho sesiones. El cortometraje ha sido evaluado por los psicólogos de todas las asociaciones de padres que forman parte de la Federación de padres de niños enfermos de cáncer. La preocupación por la calidad de las normas es una cuestión cada vez más presente en nuestro tiempo. La obra Principia iuris del profesor Ferrajoli no es una excepción. En ella se diagnostican problemas tales como el lenguaje oscuro de las normas, la legislación penal con carácter simbólico, la inflación normativa o el colapso de los tribunales. Ante tales circunstancias, en la obra señalada se proponen varias soluciones. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar algunas de estas propuestas desde la perspectiva de la teoría de la legislación.
