The Concept of Key Success Factors in Logistics and Supply Chain Management in the Context of Creating Business Competitive Advantage

2018

Firms are constantly looking for ways to create a competitive advantage. An important place among the factors affecting the way in which this advantage is gained is taken by success factors including, but not limited to, the so-called key success factors that may be related to the domains of logistics and supply chain management. The aim of the article is to identify the basic characteristics of the concept of key success factors in logistics and supply chain management. The article presents the essence and importance of success factors in the context of creating the business competitive advantage, the basic concepts of key success factors related to resource-based and market-based strategi…

Field dependence of the vortex-core sizes in dirty two-band superconductors

2019

We study the structure of Abrikosov vortices in two-band superconductors for different external magnetic fields and different parameters of the bands. The vortex core size determined by the coherence lengths are found to have qualitatively different behaviour from that determined by the quasiparticle density of states spatial variation. These different vortex core length scales coincide near the upper critical field, while the discrepancy between them becomes quite significant at lower fields. Within the diffusive approximation we demonstrate several generic regimes in the field dependence of the vortex core sizes determined by the disparity of diffusion constants in the two bands.

The Hexameric Resorcinarene Capsule as a Brønsted Acid Catalyst for the Synthesis of Bis(heteroaryl)methanes in a Nanoconfined Space

2019

Herein, we show that the hexameric resorcinarene capsule C is able to catalyze the formation of bis(heteroaryl)methanes by reaction between pyrroles or indoles and carbonyl compounds (α-ketoesters or aldehydes) in excellent yields and selectivity. Our results suggest that the capsule can play a double catalytic role as a H-bond catalyst, for the initial activation of the carbonyl substrate, and as a Bronsted acid catalyst, for the dehydration of the intermediate alcohol.

Brexit and war rhetoric, an electoral stategy?

2021

International audience; The English language is replete with bellicose expressions and references to different battles and wars involving British armed forces, in particular World War Two. This point was highlighted recently by the current occupant of 10 Downing Street, Boris Johnson, who remarked that "military metaphors are old parliamentary standard practice." 1 Many such terms have entered the everyday lexicon of most Eurosceptics and Brexiteers alike. They had already become common currency in anti-European rhetoric since the 1990s, but have reached a greater level of intensity in the last four years since the Brexit referendum, when these groups or individuals discuss or denounce the …

Collectes des données de pratiques agricoles des sites du Réseau de Mesures de la Qualité des Sols

2022

The INRAE InfoSol unit, mandated by the Gis Sol, coordinates the French Soil Monitoring Network (RMQS) set up to assess the quality and evolution of soils in France. A local trained team collects management data through a survey with farmers or operators for each site and campaign. The initial objective of collecting all soil-related management data, answering multidisciplinary uses, has faced collection difficulties and lengthy interviews. Hence, survey forms were revised before the second campaign, started in 2016. The new forms were tested and improved for two years, and the data collection strategy was tuned. In order to analyze the first responses and to suggest improvements, the study…

Size-related mortality during overwintering in cavity-nesting ant colonies (Hymenoptera: Formicidae)

2016

The ongoing process of climate change will result in higher temperatures during winter and therefore might increase the survival of overwintering invertebrates. However, the process may also lead to a reduction in snow cover and expose overwintering invertebrates to lower temperatures, which could result in higher mortality. During a field experiment, I investigated the effects of a reduction in snow cover on the survival of the ant Temnothorax crassispinus, which overwinters in nests located on the ground. Ant colonies differed in the survival rate of the workers in the experimental (from which snow cover was removed) and control group. In the control group, the survival rate was unrelated…

Clinical Behavior of Ceramic, Hybrid and Composite Onlays. A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

2020

A systematic review and meta-analysis was performed to analyze the survival of onlay restorations in the posterior region, their clinical behavior according to the material used (ceramic reinforced with lithium disilicate, conventional feldspathic ceramic or reinforced with leucite; hybrid materials and composite), possible complications, and the factors influencing restoration success. The systematic review was based on the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA) statement, without publication date or language restrictions. An electronic search was made in the PubMed, Scopus, Embase, and Cochrane databases. After discarding duplicate publications and stu…

Clinical Behavior of Short Dental Implants: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

2020

Short implants are an increasingly common alternative to other surgical techniques in areas where bone availability is reduced. Despite the advantages they offer, a variety of biological repercussions have been described in the literature that can even lead to the loss of these. The aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to analyze the impact of the use of short implants on their survival and on peri-implant bone loss, evaluating the influence that length, diameter, and crown-to-implant ratio (C/I) have on these parameters. This systematic review was based on guidelines proposed by the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). An electronic se…
