Uusi kuntalaki hyväksyttiin keväällä 2015. Työssä tarkasteltiin kuntalain edellyttämää osallistumista ja strategiatyötä puheviestintätieteen näkökulmasta. Tavoitteena oli kuvata ja analysoida kansalaisosallistumista kunnissa ja tarkastella, miten tietoa toimivasta vuorovaikutuksesta voidaan hyödyntää osallistumisen suunnittelussa, johtamisessa ja strategiatyössä. Työssä pyrittiin selvittämään, millaiset vuorovaikutuskäytänteet tukevat kuntalaisten osallisuutta ja vaikuttamismahdollisuuksia. Experiencing ethical retail ideology in the servicescape

Studies of the ideological underpinnings of retail stores have improved our understanding of consumers’ retail experiences in brand and national ideology contexts. In retailing, ideology is manifested in retail spatial settings through tangible and intangible cues in servicescapes. This study expands our knowledge on ethical retail ideology by exploring how servicescapes convey cues that shape consumption experiences and foster ethical consumption. This thesis considers the effects of the global financial crisis that started in 2008 on the retail banking environment and on banks’ behavior during and in the aftermath of the crisis. The thesis consists of an introductory chapter and three empirical articles that use unique datasets on Finnish cooperative banks. The introductory chapter provides background and an overview of the thesis and considers the effects of the crisis on retail banking from an overall perspective. Organizations often learn vicariously by observing what other organizations do. Our study examines vicarious learning–related communication through which individuals share their observations with other organizational members. Most students and members of present-day organizations would expect that this communication is driven by a prodevelopment logic—that communication serves the purpose of organizational improvement and competitiveness. Deimatic displays, where sudden changes in prey appearance elicit aversive predator reactions, have been suggested to occur in many taxa. These (often only putative) displays frequently involve different components that may also serve antipredator functions via other mechanisms (e.g., mimicry, warning signalling, body inflation). The Colombian four-eyed frog, Pleurodema brachyops, has been suggested to gain protection against predation through putative deimatic displays where they inflate and elevate the posterior part of their body revealing eye-like colour markings. By using a sensemaking perspective, this article argues that it is not relevant to fully expect firms to walk their talk in ethical matters. Accuracy between words and deeds is utopia in a post-modern world, with chaos and complexity. Jego celem jest wskazanie wartości społecznej kreowanej przez partnerów wspólnego przedsięwzięcia. Postawiono pytanie o to, jaka wartość społeczna jest tworzona we współpracy podmiotów różnych sektorów gospodarki w ramach projektów zrównoważonych oraz jaką rolę w procesie tworzenia wartości społecznej odgrywa sama współpraca międzysektorowa.
