Cicerone, Bruto. Introduzione, traduzione e note di R.R. Marchese

2011

Discontinuity as defocusing. A cognitive interpretation of the so-called discontinuous reciprocal constructions

2011

I intend to analyze a peculiar kind of reciprocal construction, in which the natural symmetry of the complex event is split due both to the defocusing of one participant (O), coded as a comitative, and the foregrounding of the other one (A), coded as a subject controlling the agreement with the verb. This construction (“discontinuous reciprocal construction”, Dimitriadis 2004), involves a “natural reciprocity” (Kemmer 1993) or “mutual configuration” (Haspelmath 2007) of the event (kissing, marring, meeting). Found in many languages, it is well attested in Italian too, both at standard level and at the informal one (1), alongside the prototypical reciprocal one (2): 1. Gianni si sposa/incont…

Myślenie dialogiczne. W polu gry o prawdę etyczną

2019

Najpierw p…

Carry a big stick, or no stick at all

2016

We investigate the effect of costly punishment in a trust game with endowment heterogeneity. Our findings indicate that the difference between the investor and the allocator’s initial endowments determines the effect of punishment on trust and trustworthiness. Punishment fosters trust only when the investor is wealthier than the allocator. Otherwise, punishment fails to promote trusting behavior. As for trustworthiness, the effect is just the opposite. The higher the difference between the investor and the allocator’s initial endowments, the less willing allocators are to pay back. We discuss the consistency of our findings with social preference models (like inequality aversion, reciprocit…

Reciprocity as source of Coordination and Spontaneous Cooperation

2013

The diffusion of yhe use of reciprocity as an alternative as an complementary category to standard economic behaviours is connected to the creation and development ,during the last thirty years, of experimental economics and behavioural economics. This paper analyses, the concept of reciprocity as a source of spontaneous cooperation in the Prisoner's Dilemma and in the Gift-Exchange Game (both in the one-shot and repeated game versions). In order to attain spontaneous coordination a relational strategy based upon a cognitive-relstional structure of agtrrment assumes, that the participants share not only the traditionally intended payoffs, but also social values and relational norms and that…

RECIPROCITÀ: UNA DECLINAZIONE SOCIOLOGICA

2019

Implementing a culture of data in franchise systems : the ingredients for success

2020

The purpose of our research is to improve the understanding of the factors that explain the development of exchange relationships and facilitate the customer data management in franchise Systems. To this end, a literature review was conducted in the field of relationship marketing, and particulary, in relation to Bagozzi's theory of exchange (1974; 1975). Through its lexical and thematic analyses, the qualitative study highlights the principle of reciprocity in exchange in franchisor-franchisee-customer relationships with regard to customer data management. Reciprocity seems to be at the core of exchanges between the franchisor, franchisees and their customers.

Designs and methods in school improvement research: a systematic review

2016

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to focus on challenges faced by longitudinal quantitative analyses of school improvement processes and offers a systematic literature review of current papers that use longitudinal analyses. In this context, the authors assessed designs and methods that are used to analyze the relation between school improvement processes and student outcomes. Based on this the authors point out to what extent the papers consider different aspects of the complex nature of school improvement (e.g. multilevel structure, indirect and nonlinear effects, reciprocity). The choice of study designs and methods of analysis substantially determines which aspects of this complex…
