Notes on Shore Flies (Diptera: Ephydridae) from Finland and north-western Russia

The recent checklist of the Ephydridae of Finland by Zatwarnicki and Kahanpää (2014) mentioned 13 ephydrid species as new for Finland without further details. This paper presents detailed records for those species and a few other species of interest. Four species are recorded for the first time from Russia. Trimerina indistincta Krivosheina, 2004 is herein considered as a new junior synonym of Trimerina microchaeta Hendel, 1932, syn. nov.

The paper presents unpublished data on the occurrence of rare, protected species of saproxylic beetles: Osmoderma barnabita, Protaetia speciosissima, Lucanus cervus and Cerambyx cerdo in the Opole voivodeship (south-western Poland), together with maps of distribution. The paper also includes comments on the current situation of these species in the region and predictions about possible changes in their population trends. New sites of these rare beetles significantly improve the knowledge about their distribution in the region and will help local authorities in investments planning and natural resource management.

Artykuł przedstawia tzw. metrykę nacji polskiej na Uniwersytecie Padewskim, przechowywaną w Archiwum Historycznym Uniwersytetu Padewskiego. Dwa tomy wpisów przedstawicieli Rzeczypospolitej Obojga Narodów, studiujących lub tylko przebywających w Padwie pomiędzy rokiem 1592 a 1745, określano dawniej m. in. jako Album, Codicilli, Liber Nationis, Liber Congregationis s. Stanislai. Jest to unikatowe źródło do badań dziejów życia umysłowego Polski w dobie późnego renesansu i baroku. Catalogue of the Diptera (Insecta) of Morocco— an annotated checklist, with distributions and a bibliography

The faunistic knowledge of the Diptera of Morocco recorded from 1787 to 2021 is summarized and updated in this first catalogue of Moroccan Diptera species. A total of 3057 species, classified into 948 genera and 93 families (21 Nematocera and 72 Brachycera), are listed. Taxa (superfamily, family, genus and species) have been updated according to current interpretations, based on reviews in the literature, the expertise of authors and contributors, and recently conducted fieldwork. Electronic patient records (EPRs) are a constitutive element of medical practice and are expected to improve interprofessional communication and support decision making. The aim of the current study is to explore the ways in which access to structured information from multiple professions within EPRs enters into the phases involved in arriving at final agreements about patients’ future care. The results show that decision making in interprofessional team rounds involves a prestructuring of a pathological reality. Additions to terrestrial flora of Tunisia: occurrence and taxonomic notes

We document new records of 11 vascular taxa. Some were found in the wild for the first time and, therefore, are new reports to terrestrial flora of Tunisia. One species, Ranunculus acris L., is reported for the first time for North Africa. Parietaria cretica L. is confirmed for North Africa. Details about the distribution and habitats of the 11 species are provided, and comments on their status and taxonomy are included.
