I piani nazionali di ripresa e resilienza in prospettiva comparata

2021

2016

W pracy przedstawiono wyniki analiz efektywności energetycznej wykorzystania do ogrzewania budynków jednorodzinnych oraz podgrzewania ciepłej wody użytkowej powietrznych pomp ciepła. Przedstawiono różne rozwiązania dolnych źródeł ciepła pompy wykorzystujących powietrze atmosferyczne lub powietrze z systemu wentylacji budynku. Dokonano również analizy okresu zwrotu inwestycji systemu ogrzewania z wykorzystaniem powietrznej pompy ciepła.

Pressure support ventilation + sigh in acute hypoxemic respiratory failure patients: Study protocol for a pilot randomized controlled trial, the PROT…

2018

Background Adding cyclic short sustained inflations (sigh) to assisted ventilation yields optimizes lung recruitment, decreases heterogeneity and reduces inspiratory effort in patients with acute hypoxemic respiratory failure (AHRF). These findings suggest that adding sigh to pressure support ventilation (PSV) might decrease the risk of lung injury, shorten weaning and improve clinical outcomes. Thus, we conceived a pilot trial to test the feasibility of adding sigh to PSV (the PROTECTION study). Methods PROTECTION is an international randomized controlled trial that will be conducted in 23 intensive care units (ICUs). Patients with AHRF who have been intubated from 24 h to 7 days and under…

Returns To Education During And After The Economic Crisis: Evidence From Latvia 2006–2012

2017

We employ EU-SILC micro data for Latvia to study how returns to education changed during the economic crisis of 2008–2009 and afterwards. We found that returns to education increased significantly during the crisis and decreased slightly during the subsequent economic recovery. The counter-cyclical effect was evident in nearly all population groups. After the crisis, education became more associated than before with a longer working week and a higher employment probability. Furthermore, we show that returns to education in Latvia are generally higher in the capital city and its suburbs than outside the capital city region, as well as for citizens of Latvia than for resident non-citizens and…

Spouses’ Experiences of Rehabilitees’ Burnout and Recovery

2021

The role of family members’ support in the burnout recovery process has been recognized in several studies. The role of emotional support provided by the spouse has been found to be significant in reducing burnout levels. Although crossover of burnout and emotional support have been investigated, the partners’ experiences of the individuals’ burnout and recovery have remained largely unexplored. To fill this research gap the study aims to provide in-depth knowledge of the experiences of spouses of individuals who have a history of burnout and are recovering from it by participating in a rehabilitation course. Ten spouses of individuals who had previously suffered and had recovered or was re…

Società in house e crisi d’impresa alla luce dell’art. 14 TUSP

2021

The article analyzes the content of Article 14 TUSP (i.e. the Italian Law on Publicly Owned Companies), affirming its applicability also to in-house companies. Particular attention is paid to the regulation of the recovery / restructuring plans mentioned therein and to the interrelationships existing between the latter and the similar (but different) institution of the “certified recovery plans” mentioned by the current Article 67, paragraph 3, lett. d), Bankruptcy Law. Further considerations are addressed to the possibility that theabovementioned recovery plan contemplates the sale of the public shareholdings held by the parent company in the in-house company. Finally, a concise concluding…

The Role of Work-Nonwork Boundary Management in Work Stress Recovery

2016

The aim of the present study conducted among 1,106 Finnish employees was to identify boundary management profiles based on cross-role interruption behaviors from work to nonwork and from nonwork to work. Adopting a person-oriented approach through latent profile analysis, 5 profiles were identified: Work Guardians (21% of the employees), Nonwork Guardians (14%), Integrators (25%), Separators (18%), and an Intermediate Group (22%). We then examined differences between these profiles with respect to recovery experiences (psychological detachment from work, relaxation, mastery experiences, and control during off-job time) and recovery outcomes (vigor and exhaustion). Work Guardians had the poo…
