Abstract Objective The aim of our study is to reflect hearing impairment of 23 children diagnosed with mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) type I, II, III and IV. Methods Retrospective study of the clinical, audiological and treatment (medical vs surgical) findings of 23 children diagnosed with MPS type I, II, III and IV followed at a Tertiary Referral Hospital between 1997 and 2015. Results Six cases of MPS I, 8 of MPS II, 4 of MPS III and 5 of MPS IV were reviewed. 71.2% of patients had secretory otitis media (SOM) and 54% of patients had some type of hearing loss (HL). Catching allergy by a simple questionnaire

Background Identifying allergic rhinitis requires allergy testing, but the first-line referral for rhinitis are usually primary care physicians (PCP), who are not familiar with such tests. The availability of easy and simple tests to be used by PCP to suggest allergy should be very useful. Methods The Respiratory Allergy Prediction (RAP) test, based on 9 questions and previously validated by a panel of experts, was evaluated in this study. Results An overall number of 401 patients (48.6% males, age range 14–62 years) with respiratory symptoms was included. Teniendo en cuenta que no todas las comunidades autónomas cuentan con estas consultas implementadas en el sistema sanitario, consideramos que este servicio es fundamental ponerlo en marcha y desarrollarlo en el resto de comunidades, para ofrecer al paciente una mejor atención primaria. Background The main objective of this study is to examine the quality of the information available for patients online with regards to the apicoectomy surgical procedure, both on general and critically selected websites. The hypothesis is that general websites has less quality than other that have been pre-selected. Material and Methods A search for the English term "apicoectomy” was performed online.
