Il messaggio etico dei testi di Francesco Buti per i "Fiori" di Girolamo Kapsperger (villanelle a 1,2,3,4 voci e Bc. del 1632) e la ricercata semplicità della musica giustificano la scelta anacronistica e stilisticamente inappropriata della titolazione di genere scelta da Kapsperger o dall’editore Masotti. Il termine villanella allude in questo caso a un giardino in cui i fiori formano un mazzetto di allegorie per il buon cristiano. The first part of this essay explains the poetry features for music of abbot Francesco Buti from Narni. The second one contains the modern edition of poems for Li Fiori, a group of polyphonic “villanelle” set to music and published in 1632 by the German nobleman Girolamo Kapsperger. Performed in a private concert in Rome, probably under the patronage of Cardinal Francesco Barberini, this work is the unique example of a music collection of 16th-century Italy entirely devoted to flowers. Buti’s poetry resumed the ancient Greek legends of the jasmine, violet, rose, purple anemone, hyacinth, narcissus and iris aiming at transforming them as means to enhance the catholic ethic. To many readers of Orlando Furioso, Ariosto appears to be essentially disinterested in religious matters, a poet who thinks religion and morality should be kept away from literary creation. However, in this paper I will argue that Ariosto, far from being a-religious, or even un-Christian, was deeply engaged with contemporary religious debates. And without understanding this, it is impossible to comprehend Ariosto’s historical location. This dissertation and the four separate articles contained therein examine Finnish pastors as builders of the Swedish state from the 1550s to the 1610s. The subject is studied from three perspectives. First, the relationship between the crown and the church (and the pastors) is explored. Second, the study investigates the relationship between the pastors and local communities. The third aspect connects the first two as it sheds light on the pastors’ role as intermediators between local communities and the crown. Dwa typy reformacyjnych liturgii Wieczerzy Pańskiej

W artykule najpierw zostały krótko ukazane wybrane tendencje i fenomeny, spotykane w pobożności późnego średniowiecza, które pośrednio lub bezpośrednio wpłynęły na kształtowanie się życia liturgicznego reformacji. Następnie w głównej części przedłożenia omówiono dwa zasadnicze typy liturgii Wieczerzy Pańskiej, które ukonstytuowały się w pierwszych latach reformacji: tzw. typ mszalny oraz tzw. typ górnoniemiecki. Przedstawiono genezę, proces kształtowania się i strukturę najważniejszych prototypów liturgii Wieczerzy bez szczegółowego analizowania licznych obrządków na nich wzorowanych.
