A Uniform Conspiracy Mindset or Differentiated Reactions to Specific Conspiracy Beliefs? Evidence From Latent Profile Analyses

Conspiracy theories arise for virtually any public event (e.g., pandemics, assassinations, disasters). In light of positively correlated endorsements of such beliefs, many have pointed to a more general mindset behind this. Others have argued against this notion of a consistent mindset. Applying Latent Profile Analyses, we examine the evidence for either uniform or differentiated response patterns to various items in five studies (reanalyzed datasets, total N = 7877). Overall, the results speak strongly to uniform reactions that could be summarized as a general mindset, but also revealed important qualifications. (pari a 28 taxa endemici e/o inseriti nelle più recenti Liste Rosse). Core flooding experiments to determine multiphase flow in properties of rock such as relative permeability can show significant fluctuations in terms of pressure, saturation, and electrical conductivity. That is typically not considered in the Darcy scale interpretation but treated as noise. However, in recent years, flow regimes that exhibit spatio-temporal variations in pore scale occupancy related to fluid phase pressure changes have been identified. They are associated with topological changes in the fluid configurations caused by pore-scale instabilities such as snap-off. Response of transgenic mannitol-producing tobacco plants to water deficit

Transgenic mannitol-producing (+mtlD) and wild type (-mtlD) tobacco plants were exposed to water deficit to test whether mannitol is involved in drought stress protection. Rooted cuttings of -mtlD and +mtlD plants were fully irrigated (100% ET) or received 25% ET for 40 days, followed by 20 days of re-watering. Water deficit reduced RWC of both plant types starting on the 22nd day, total stem length of -mtlD 25% ET already after 11 days, whereas that of +mtlD 25% ET only after 34 days. After 30 days of deficit, a greater percentage of mature foliage was retained by +mtlD 25% ET compared to -mtlD 25% ET. Under the auspices of the Service of Maritime Health of the Marine Social Institute of Valencia, Spain, the health status of seafaring workers from Valencia was evaluated. An epidemiologic study was carried out based on 707 pre-embarkation health examinations, collecting information about the health problems of these workers and their associated risk factors. The data were analyzed to estimate population frequencies and the corresponding 95% confidence intervals. Significance among groups was calculated by the chi-square test (p0.05). The present contribution reports childhood cancer incidence and survival rates as well as time trends and geographical variation. The report is based on the databases of population-based cancer registries which joined forces in cooperative projects such as Automated Childhood Cancer Information System (ACCIS) and EUROCARE. According to these data, which refer to the International Classification of Childhood Cancer, leukemias, at 34%, brain tumors, at 23%, and lymphomas, at 12%, represent the largest diagnostic groups among the under 15-year-olds. The most frequent single diagnoses are: acute lymphoblastic leukemia, astrocytoma, neuroblastoma, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and nephroblastoma. There …
