Kritiskā domāšana laikmeta kontekstā

2018

2018

Personifikacja a cud w polskiej teorii epopei lat porozbiorowych

2023

In Romanticism, the employment of abstract concepts within an epic ‘miracle machine’ was arranged by means of personification. This was the case until Antoni Malczewski, a Polish Romantic poet, introduced free indirect speech which facilitated linking anthropomorphised abstractions with their ‘genetic subjects,’ i.e. experiencing characters. The ‘miracle machine,’ by definition, was intended to be a response to a changeable vision of the world determined by history. Yet, what can be observed in poems of the late eighteen and early nineteenth century is, though with varying intensity, the presence of mythological characters along with Christian supernatural creatures, natural phenomena as we…

Disumano, troppo umano.

2019

Tyranny is often regarded as "a perennial problem" (Boesche 1996) on the basis of its ubiquitous presence in literature. Even more enduring is the problem of how to define human nature, its place in the environment, and its relationship to the divine – a core issue of philosophical anthropology (Pansera 2001, Honenberger 2015). In the present paper, I shall approach the literary construction of the tyrant figure in Greek and Roman tragedy from the holistic perspective of philosophical anthropology. I will focus on three well-known dramas (Sophocles’ Oedipus the King and Antigone and Seneca’s Thyestes) which put great emphasis on the moral and cognitive status of tyrants as “exceptional” hum…

L’antropologia filosofica di Remo Cantoni: umanismo critico, “connessione orizzontale” e partecipazione

2016

The paper proposes a critical reflection on Remo Cantoni’s philosophical thought, with particular regards to his anthropological point of view that addresses concepts such as “critical humanism” and “horizontal connection”. The strict relationship between anthropology and participation are his main topics on which he has made outstanding remarks in the second decade of XXth century in the Italian cultural panorama. Since his early works, Cantoni points out the need to develop a different way of analysing the pluridimensionality of human beings and widely debates contemporary European cultural context after the end of World War II. The paper tries to put in evidence how Cantoni’s anthropolog…
