In ancient Sicilian, basic spatial relations are encoded by means of prepositional phrases introduced by ‘da’ and ‘di’ (origin), ‘a’, ‘in’ and ‘intra’ (location and direction), ‘per/pir/pri’ (path). This contribution offers a description of these encoding means based on the examination of a corpus of Sicialian texts of the 14th to 16th centuries. The analysis is carried out against a cognitive grammar theoretical background and takes into account the existing studies on spatial relations in the world languages. Literature has extensively demonstrated the coordination role of working memory (WM) in complex tasks such as writing. However, previous studies mostly concentrated on the relation between passive WM (e.g., WM span) components and specific writing tasks (e.g., dictation). The present study analyzed the relationships between directive, self and social functions of autobiographical memory, personality traits, as defined by the Five Factor model, and the Facebook mementos. We defined Facebook mementos as objective measures of the textual (i.e., Facebook Status Updating) and visual (i.e., Photos uploading) information people record on their Facebook profiles. The impact of deep dysgraphia on graphemic output buffer disorders

This article describes an investigation into the residual writing skills of a severely dysgraphic patient (DA). We found that they were powerfully influenced by a number of lexical variables (lexicality, frequency, imageability, length and geminates). His error pattern was characterized by semantic, lexical, substitution, deletion errors and fragment responses that preserved the first letter. Thus, DA's written spelling was characterized by both deep dysgraphic and graphemic output buffer effects. It is proposed that this pattern of performance represents a new "putative functional syndrome."
