The aneurysmal bone cyst is a nonneoplastic, osteolytic and locally destructive lesion that mainly affects the metaphyseal area of long bones and only 2% of it is diagnosed in the maxillofacial skeleton. Although surgical treatment is the most common option, it is associated to high morbidity rates. The case of an aneurysmal bone cyst of a considerable size in a 27-year-old male patient illustrating a conservative surgical approach with preservation of the dental structures in the mandible to limit aesthetic and functional side effects is presented. Ameloblastoma is an uncommon, locally aggressive benign odontogenic tumor and can reach considerable dimensions causing facial deformity and functional impairment. They are characterized by local aggressiveness. It is recommended that maxillary ameloblastomas be treated aggressively due to proximity of various vital structures. Conservative treatments such as marsupialization, enucleation and curettage while preserving bone integrity seem to be associated with a high rate of recurrence. Treatment evaluation of ameloblastomas is a complex issue, as ideally it should not be so destructive due to the benign nature of this lesion, but should be extensive enough to avoid recurrences. Cowden's syndrome (CS), also known as multiple hamartoma syndrome, is a rare autosomal dominant genodermatosis first described in 1963. It has a high penetrance in both sexes and variable phenotypes. Primary malignant melanoma of the oral cavity is a rare neoplasm, especially on the tongue. We report a case of mucosal melanoma at the base of the tongue, an extremely rare location (only about 30 cases have been reported in literature). The extension study doesn´t revealed distant metastatic lesions. The patient was treated by subtotal glossectomy and bilateral functional neck dissection. A clinical case of a 13 year old male patient with a malignant tumor in the mandibular body area with two years of evolution and associated pain is reported. It was initially diagnosed as low grade central mucoepidermoid carcinoma through Hematoxylin and Eosin (H-E) staining in multiple biopsies. Pycnodysostosis is a rare disorder that was first described in 1962; however, it was only in 1996 that the defective gene was discovered, which led to a better understanding of this disease. This study reports and discuss a case of pycnodysostosis. In addition, a search of articles published in PubMed-Medline was performed. The case was a 13-year-old girl who was referred to a private clinic for dental treatment. Vascular leiomyoma in the oral cavity : report of two cases

Vascular leiomyomas (VL) are benign lesions of perivascular origin. We report two new cases and discuss their clinical, histological and immunohistochemical characteristics, in order to facilitate the diagnosis and treatment of such lesions. The patients, both male, presented asymptomatic nodules located in the bottom of the labial sulcus and buccal mucosa. In the second case, color doppler ultrasonography was performed, which showed no change in blood flow.
