Longitudinal Gait Analysis of a Transfemoral Amputee Patient: Single-Case Report from Socket-Type to Osseointegrated Prosthesis

The aim of the present case report was to provide a longitudinal functional assessment of a patient with transfemoral amputation from the preoperative status with socket-type prosthesis to one year after the osseointegration surgery. A 44 years-old male patient was scheduled for osseointegration surgery 17 years after transfemoral amputation. Gait analysis was performed through 15 wearable inertial sensors (MTw Awinda, Xsens) before surgery (patient wearing his standard socket-type prosthesis) and at 3-, 6-, and 12-month follow-ups after osseointegration. Conservation status of the Italian flora under the 92/43/EEC ‘Habitats’ Directive

The results of the 4th National Report for the Italian flora under the 92/43/EEC ‘Habitats’ Directive are presented. The outcomes showed a general negative conservation status for plant species, with the worst situation being in the Mediterranean bioregion. At the National level, significant monitoring and conservation activities are required.

Income and Physical Activity among Adults: Evidence from Self-Reported and Pedometer-Based Physical Activity Measurements

This study examined the relationship between income and physical activity by using three measures to illustrate daily physical activity: the self-reported physical activity index for leisure-time physical activity, pedometer-based total steps for overall daily physical activity, and pedometer-based aerobic steps that reflect continuous steps for more than 10 min at a time. The study population consisted of 753 adults from Finland (mean age 41.7 years; 64% women) who participated in 2011 in the follow-up of the ongoing Young Finns study. Background This study aimed to compare the histological and immunohistochemical characteristics of ameloblastomas (AM) and ameloblastic carcinomas (AC). Material and Methods Fifteen cases of AM and 9 AC were submitted to hematoxilin and eosin (H&E) and immunohistochemical analysis with the following antibodies: cytokeratins 5,7,8,14 and 19, Ki-67, p53, p63 and the cellular adhesion molecules CD138 (Syndecan-1), E-cadherin and β-catenin. Vžyvannja form v Ukrajini i na Ukrajini u periodyčnych vydannjach rusyniv Bačky i Sremu u mižvojennyj period

This paper analyzes the use of the preposition u and na in locative constructions with the term Ukraine in the language of Rusyns from Bačka and Syrmia in the 20-30s of the XX century. The following periodicals were taken into consideration: the newspaper “Ruski Novini” of the Rusyns Society for Education and the newspaper “Zarja” and “Kalendar - Zarja” of the Cultural and Educational Union of the Rusyns of Yugoslavia. The use of both prepositions before the specified term is attested, and that is in line with the Ukrainian linguistic tradition. The use of these prepositions in locative constructions with terms Podkarpatska Rus, Karpatska Ukrajina and Hornitsa is also considered.
