Les archives ouvertes s’inscrivent de plus en plus solidement et durablement dans le paysage documentaire de l’enseignement supérieur. Si les organismes de recherche ont été précurseurs pour la création d’archives ouvertes, les grandes écoles, mais surtout les universités ont désormais massivement rejoint le mouvement. W artykule omówiono – na przykładzie Uniwersytetu Opolskiego – trzy obszary działalności informacyjnej oraz komunikacji naukowej na podstawie sieciowego obiegu informacji z wykorzystaniem sieci Internet – udostępnianie światowych baz danych w ramach tzw. licencji krajowych, uczelnianych repozytoriów instytucjonalnych oraz realizowanie polityki otwartego dostępu. Prior to starting up the University of Valencia's (UV) institutional repository, we assessed this institution's real output of periodical publications and drew up the most comprehensive list possible. We also described the visibility of the contents on the Internet. -- Method. We searched the ISSN database and the UV's library catalogue for journals in which the UV is included in the statement of responsibility. -- Results. These two sources did not provide sufficient information, as the University was not listed in all the relevant journals as a publishing entity. The latest reorganization of the Vertebrate collections preserved at the “Pietro Doderlein” Museum of Zoology of the University of Palermo (Italy) has made it possible to draw up a check-list of the Mammal taxa present in the stuffed (M), fluid-preserved (ML) and anatomical (AN) collections. The intervention was planned under the National Biodiversity Future Center (NBFC) agenda, focused on the enhancement of Italian natural history museums. Regardless of the amount of open educational resources (OER) available, many learning object repositories LORs fail to attract active users and sustainable funding solutions. Previous studies indicate that quality of OER plays a significant role in the success of the repositories; however, there is a lack of systematic deeper understanding of this connection. In this qualitative study we interviewed 35 managers/developers of 27 national, thematic and federated LORs in regards of the LORs’ quality approaches and success. It can therefore be considered that almost all HEIs now offer a green open access repository or signalling solution to their researchers. The « still in progress » or suspended projects are rather related to the current recomposition of the Higher Education landscape. The most obvious obstacles to the latest implementations remain both the low involvement of researchers in the project and the human resources allocated.
