El objetivo del artículo es analizar el estado de la cuestión de las políticas en favor del acceso abierto (OA) a la ciencia en las universidades españolas. Prior to starting up the University of Valencia's (UV) institutional repository, we assessed this institution's real output of periodical publications and drew up the most comprehensive list possible. We also described the visibility of the contents on the Internet. -- Method. We searched the ISSN database and the UV's library catalogue for journals in which the UV is included in the statement of responsibility. -- Results. These two sources did not provide sufficient information, as the University was not listed in all the relevant journals as a publishing entity. French Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) are, for 89% of the respondents to the survey, now having their own open repository, or declaring to be in the implementation phase (compared to 82% in 2017 and only 62% in 2014). It can therefore be considered that almost all HEIs now offer a green open access repository or signalling solution to their researchers. Les archives ouvertes s’inscrivent de plus en plus solidement et durablement dans le paysage documentaire de l’enseignement supérieur. Si les organismes de recherche ont été précurseurs pour la création d’archives ouvertes, les grandes écoles, mais surtout les universités ont désormais massivement rejoint le mouvement. Signe de cette progression notable, 82 % des répondants disposent en 2017 d’une archive en production ou en cours de mise en œuvre, contre 62 % en 2014. L’adoption majoritaire de la plate-forme HAL (qui représente 79 % des archives en production et 84 % des archives des universités parmi les répondants) se renforce encore depuis 2014. L'articolo vuole focalizzare che la funzione dei depositi istituzionali non e' quella dell’archiviazione di una collezione ma quella della condivisione di informazione e di servizi per gli utenti che facilitano questa condivisione.
