The authorities of the Republic of Poland in exile tried to follow and analyse the situation in Poland after World War 2. The developments in the years 1947–1949 which aroused particular interest among emigrants were the elections to the Legislative Sejm, the issue of the Oder-Neisse borderline and the sovietisation of Poland. These topics were raised by the president in his speeches, by the government during its meetings and by the National Council of Poland during its sessions. Fue catedrático de la Escuela Normal de Alicante en las primeras décadas del siglo XX, renovador de la pedagogía. Fue concejal por Izquierda Republicana en el Ayuntamiento de Alicante durante la Segunda república y desarrolló un plan ambicioso de escuelas públicas, fue diputado por Izquierda Republicana en 1936 y fusilado en 1939. This articles discusses what actions were undertaken to commemorate the first president in the Polish history. Gabriel Narutowicz was elected the President in December 1922 and assassinated by a political fanatic just a few days later, on the second day of holding the office. The death of the chief of state was a climax of fierce political war fought on the Polish political arena in 1922.
