The article focuses on the ethical practices involved in collecting and organizing large datasets, which can also impact the quality of the data and the study as a whole. We report our experiences in the DIALUKI project (Diagnosing reading and writing in a second or foreign language), in which we visited over a hundred schools to obtain a dataset of over a thousand variables from nearly a thousand pupils. How guilt or innocence is constructed in Finnish suspects written police records
 The present study focuses on written police records in Finland. The aim is to investigate how guilt or innocence is constructed in written police records. The research data contains 168 copy of suspects police records from Helsinki, Tampere and Turku police departments. Police records are being analyzed by using the discursive and linguistic approach. The aim of this study was to contribute to the understanding of the reasons for low or high academic motivation among practical nursing students at risk of dropping out from vocational education and training. The research data consisted of semi-structured interviews with 14 Finnish students, which were analysed by qualitative content analysis. The analysis identified six motivational sources. The data collection set consist of eight pair interviews, which took place between the 24th of April 2017 and the 17th of May 2017 with an average length of 59 minutes. The average age of the 16 participants was 28 years. The majority of the participants were female (69%), males were represented by 31%; 69% came from the Educational Leadership programme, and 31% from the Educational Sciences programme (both Master degree programmes at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland); 44% were first-year students and 56% second-year students.
