[EN] Objectives To demonstrate how data-driven variability methods can be used to identify changes in disease recording in two English electronic health records databases between 2001 and 2015. Design Repeated cross-sectional analysis that applied data-driven temporal variability methods to assess month-by-month changes in routinely collected medical data. A measure of difference between months was calculated based on joint distributions of age, gender, socioeconomic status and recorded cardiovascular diseases. Pääsääntöisesti jokaisella tieteenalalla on omat kiinnostuksen kohteensa, tutkimusmenetelmänsä sekä terminologiansa. Tutkimuksen sijoittuessa aihepiiriltään useamman tieteenalan puitteisiin, on luontevaa lähestyä ongelmaa hyödyntäen näitä tutkimustraditioita. Käytän tässä esimerkkinä kasvatustieteen väitöskirjaani ”Sananlaskut kasvatuspuheessa – perinnettä, kasvatusta, indoktrinaatiota?” vuodelta 2008. Sananlaskututkimus on siinä sekä teoreettisesti että menetelmällisesti varsin keskeisessä asemassa.

The paper demonstrates the methodologic aspect of the Polish sociologic research on the Silesian region in the interwar period. Referring to pre-sociologic and sociologic research, it depicts the methodologic foundations and intellectual perspectives that were conceptualised by ludwik krzy-wicki and constitute the cognitive basis for the construction of the knowledge about Silesia – they are defined as the object analysis current and the subject analysis current. Temporality and firm de-internationalization : Three historical approaches

This paper contributes to process-oriented international business research by showing how three distinct historical approaches can enrich theoretical understanding concerning temporality in firm de-internationalization. First, we show how comparative historical analysis unleashes the causal structure of the process and provides explanatory understanding of the temporal grounding of the mechanisms driving the process. Second, we explicate how interpretive history reveals the embeddedness of de-internationalization in the prevailing spirit of the time. This paper is an illustration of the application of a hermeneutic phenomenological study. The theory of meaning and interpretation, drawing on philosophical hermeneutics and the work of Gadamer and Heidegger, and its alignment with phenomenological thought is presented. The paper explains and aims to make visible how key concerns in relation to the fusion of horizons, hermeneutic understanding, hermeneutic circle and hermeneutic phenomenological attitude were implemented. This dataset is part of a publication (Differentiating Perceived Usability from Aesthetics in Visual Experience – Validation of a Perceived Visual Usability Measurement). Data concerning confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) utilised in the measurement validation is freely available. Data for the CFA was collected via Prolific, an online survey platform. Thirty-three different surveys were created with the Webropol survey tool, all with different stimulus.
