The creation site of 26Al is still under debate. It is thought to be produced in hydrogen burning and in explosive helium burning in novae and supernovae, and possibly also in the H-burning in outer shells of red giant stars. Also, the reactions for its creation or destruction are not completely known. When 26Al is created in novae, the reaction chain is: 24Mg(p, γ) 25Al(β +ν) 25Mg(p, γ) 26Al, but this chain can be by-passed by another chain, 25Al(p, γ) 26Si(p, γ) 27P and it can also be destroyed directly. Tracer addition experiments, particularly using isotopic tracers, are becoming increasingly important in a variety of studies aiming at characterizing the flows of molecules or nutrients at different levels of biological organization, from the cellular and tissue levels, to the organismal and ecosystem levels. However, performing rigorous statistical analyses to gain reliable quantitative insights from these experiments often remains challenging. W artykule starano się udowodnić, iż rozwój energetyki w kierunku zwiększenia udziału odnawialnych źródeł energii (OZE) wpisuje się w realizację koncepcji zrównoważonego rozwoju. Wyzwaniami dla ludzkości dzisiaj jest równy dostęp do wszelkiego rodzaju dóbr: energii czy wody, w celu zapewnienia odpowiedniego standardu życiowego. Rabunkowa gospodarka surowcami spowodowała głęboką dewastację środowiska naturalnego. Konsekwentne wdrażanie polityki ekologicznej (w tym OZE) w ramach zrównoważonego rozwoju stanowi gwarancję bezpieczeństwa energetycznego oraz podejmowania przez podmioty gospodarcze działań w zakresie ochrony środowiska.

The role of mothers' beliefs in students' self-concept of ability development

The aim of this study was to investigate whether the child-related competence beliefs of mothers are associated with the development of Finnish adolescents' self-concept of mathematics and literacy ability during their transition from primary to lower secondary school and whether these associations depend on adolescents' level of performance. The results showed that, first, adolescents' self-concept of mathematics and literacy ability decreased over time. The impact of maternal beliefs on the linear trend of the self-concept of mathematics and literacy ability was dependent on the level of students' performance. The purpose of the paper is to investigate, first, the association between multiple directorship assignments (busyness) undertaken by corporate directors and firm performance, second, whether endogenously determined limits of multiple directorships, highlighting the ownership structure and other institutional settings, explain the above association better than those by exogenously mandated by regulators and third, the association between the nature of busyness and firm performance.
