𝔸1-contractibility of affine modifications

We introduce Koras–Russell fiber bundles over algebraically closed fields of characteristic zero. After a single suspension, this exhibits an infinite family of smooth affine [Formula: see text]-contractible [Formula: see text]-folds. Moreover, we give examples of stably [Formula: see text]-contractible smooth affine [Formula: see text]-folds containing a Brieskorn–Pham surface, and a family of smooth affine [Formula: see text]-folds with a higher-dimensional [Formula: see text]-contractible total space.

Unique continuation property and Poincar�� inequality for higher order fractional Laplacians with applications in inverse problems

We prove a unique continuation property for the fractional Laplacian $(-\Delta)^s$ when $s \in (-n/2,\infty)\setminus \mathbb{Z}$. In addition, we study Poincar\'e-type inequalities for the operator $(-\Delta)^s$ when $s\geq 0$. We apply the results to show that one can uniquely recover, up to a gauge, electric and magnetic potentials from the Dirichlet-to-Neumann map associated to the higher order fractional magnetic Schr\"odinger equation. We also study the higher order fractional Schr\"odinger equation with singular electric potential. In both cases, we obtain a Runge approximation property for the equation. Superconductive and insulating inclusions for linear and non-linear conductivity equations

We detect an inclusion with infinite conductivity from boundary measurements represented by the Dirichlet-to-Neumann map for the conductivity equation. We use both the enclosure method and the probe method. We use the enclosure method to prove partial results when the underlying equation is the quasilinear $p$-Laplace equation. Further, we rigorously treat the forward problem for the partial differential equation $\operatorname{div}(\sigma\lvert\nabla u\rvert^{p-2}\nabla u)=0$ where the measurable conductivity $\sigma\colon\Omega\to[0,\infty]$ is zero or infinity in large sets and $1<p<\infty$.
Double points in families of map germs from ℝ2 to ℝ3

We show that a 1-parameter family of real analytic map germs [Formula: see text] with isolated instability is topologically trivial if it is excellent and the family of double point curves [Formula: see text] in [Formula: see text] is topologically trivial. In particular, we deduce that [Formula: see text] is topologically trivial when the Milnor number [Formula: see text] is constant.
Stability conditions and related filtrations for $(G,h)$-constellations

Given an infinite reductive algebraic group $G$, we consider $G$-equivariant coherent sheaves with prescribed multiplicities, called $(G,h)$-constellations, for which two stability notions arise. The first one is analogous to the $\theta$-stability defined for quiver representations by King and for $G$-constellations by Craw and Ishii, but depending on infinitely many parameters. The second one comes from Geometric Invariant Theory in the construction of a moduli space for $(G,h)$-constellations, and depends on some finite subset $D$ of the isomorphy classes of irreducible representations of $G$. Deformations of Calabi-Yau manifolds in Fano toric varieties

In this article, we investigate deformations of a Calabi-Yau manifold $Z$ in a toric variety $F$, possibly not smooth. In particular, we prove that the forgetful morphism from the Hilbert functor $H^F_Z$ of infinitesimal deformations of $Z$ in $F$ to the functor of infinitesimal deformations of $Z$ is smooth. This implies the smoothness of $H^F_Z $ at the corresponding point in the Hilbert scheme. Moreover, we give some examples and include some computations on the Hodge numbers of Calabi-Yau manifolds in Fano toric varieties.

We consider a nonlinear, nonhomogeneous Dirichlet problem driven by the sum of a \begin{document}$p$\end{document} -Laplacian ( \begin{document}$2 ) and a Laplacian.
