Assessing the effect of information on the reservation price for Champagne: what are consumers actually paying for?

AbstractTwo series of Vickrey auctions have been performed to assess the effect of packaging information (bottle and label) on the reservation prices of ordinary consumers for five brut non-vintage Champagnes. As in other studies on wine tasting, packaging information is found to explain much more of the variation in willingness to pay than sensory information. Participants are unable, or unwilling, to put different values on the Champagnes after blind tasting, but significant differences in reservation prices appear when labels are disclosed. The paper focuses on Michael Almereyda’s Cymbeline (2014), a modernized re-telling of Shakespeare’s play in which the Briton motorcycle gang, led by drug kingpin Cymbeline, comes into conflict with the Rome police force, led by Caius Lucius. In the film, which has been defined as “Shakespeare in the Instagram age,” sustained attention to media practices and technologies competes with the incorporation of textual material. Association between cardiorespiratory fitness and metabolic health in overweight and obese adults

BACKGROUND: Cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF) has been inversely associated with insulin resistance and clustering of cardiometabolic risk factors among overweight and obese individuals. However, most previous studies have scaled CRF by body mass (BM) possibly inflating the association between CRF and cardiometabolic health. We investigated the associations of peak oxygen uptake (V̇ O2peak) and peak power output (Wpeak) scaled either by BM-1, fat free mass (FFM-1), or by allometric methods with individual cardiometabolic risk factors and clustering of cardiometabolic risk factors in 55 overweight or obese adults with metabolic syndrome. Tämän tutkielman tarkoituksena oli selvittää yläkoululaisten kokemuksia välituntiliikunnan vaikutuksesta heidän psyykkiseen jaksamiseensa. Toteutin tutkimuksen laadullisena käyttäen tutkimusmenetelmänä fenomenologis-hermeneuttista tutkimusotetta. Keräsin tutkimusaineiston yhdestä pohjoissavolaisesta koulusta käyttäen aineistonkeruumenetelmänä seitsemän 7.-9.-luokkalaisen (kuusi tyttöä ja yksi poika) oppilaan äidinkielen tunnilla kirjoittamia ainekirjoituksia aiheesta ”Kokemuksiani välitunnilla liikkumisen merkityksestä henkiselle jaksamiselle”.
