Effect of radiosynoviorthesis on the progression of arthropathy and haemarthrosis reduction in haemophilic patients.

2017

IntroductionRepeated haemarthrosis is widely accepted as the triggering cause of synovitis and haemophilic arthropathy. A first-line treatment of chronic synovitis is radiosynoviorthesis (RS). The aim of this study was to evaluate the RS effects on the progression of arthropathy and on a reduction in bleeding in patients with haemophilia. MethodsAn observational-retrospective study was performed. Bleeding episodes in the 12months following and in the 12months preceding RS was compared. The arthropathy was clinically and radiologically analysed by age range, joint and subject, comparing those undergoing RS (Radiosynoviorthesis Group, RSG) against those not undergoing this treatment (Non-Radi…

Synthesis of borylindenides. Complexes with iron and rhenium moieties

1999

Abstract Borylation of lithium indenide with BBrMe 2 gives the allylic 1-indenyl derivative (1-Ind)BMe 2 ( 1c ) together with the bis-allylic connected species (1-Ind) 2 BMe ( 3 ) and with BCl i Pr 2 , the allylic 1-indenyl (1-Ind)B i Pr 2 ( 1d ); the latter, with Et 3 N or Py added, rearranges to the vinylic 3-indenyl isomer (3-Ind)B i Pr 2 ( 2d ). The disubstituted indene C 9 H 6 Ind(SiMe 3 )B(O 2 C 2 Me 4 ) ( 5 ) was prepared from Li[C 9 H 6 B(O 2 C 2 Me 4 )] ( 4b ) and Me 3 SiCl. Both (1-Ind)BMe 2 and (1-Ind)B i Pr 2 readily undergo metalation when treated with LiTMP or LiInd to give pure 1-borylindenides Li(C 9 H 6 BMe 2 ) ( 4c ) and Li(C 9 H 6 B i Pr 2 ) ( 4d ). A barrier to internal …

Supramolecular Construction of Cyanide-Bridged Re I Diimine Multichromophores

2019

The reactions of labile [Re(diimine)(CO)3(H2O)]+ precursors (diimine = 2,2′-bipyridine, bpy; 1,10-phenanthroline, phen) with dicyanoargentate anion produce the dirhenium cyanide-bridged compounds [{Re(diimine)(CO)3}2CN)]+ (1 and 2). Substitution of the axial carbonyl ligands in 2 for triphenylphosphine gives the derivative [{Re(phen)(CO)2(PPh3)}2CN]+ (3), while the employment of a neutral metalloligand [Au(PPh3)(CN)] affords heterobimetallic complex [{Re(phen)(CO)3}NCAu(PPh3)]+ (4). Furthermore, the utilization of [Au(CN)2]−, [Pt(CN)4]2–, and [Fe(CN)6]4–/3– cyanometallates leads to the higher nuclearity aggregates [{Re(diimine)(CO)3NC}xM]m+ (M = Au, x = 2, 5 and 6; Pt, x = 4, 7 and 8; Fe, x…

Rhenium(IV) cyanate complexes: Synthesis, crystal structures and magnetic properties of NBu4[ReBr4(OCN)(DMF)] and (NBu4)2[ReBr(OCN)2(NCO)3]

2006

Abstract Two new rhenium(IV) mononuclear compounds of formula NBu4[ReBr4(OCN)(DMF)] (1) and (NBu4)2[ReBr(OCN)2(NCO)3] (2) (NBu4 = tetrabutylammonium cation, OCN = O-bonded cyanate anion, NCO = N-bonded cyanate anion and DMF = N,N-dimethylformamide) have been synthesized and their crystal structures determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic system with the space group P21/n, whereas 2 crystallizes in the triclinic one with P 1 ¯ as space group. In both complexes the rhenium atom is six-coordinated, in 1 by four Br atoms in the equatorial plane, and two trans-oxygen atoms, one of a DMF molecule and another one from a cyanato group, while in 2 by one brom…

Towards multifunctional magnetic systems through molecular-programmed self assembly of Re(IV) metalloligands

2015

Abstract The molecular-programmed approach based on the use as ligands of tailor-made metalloligands containing stable six-coordinate rhenium(IV) as paramagnetic centres is presented in this review article. A relatively large amount of spin density is covalent-delocalized away from the rhenium to the peripheral atoms of the ligands in the case of the Re(IV) metalloligands, as shown by polarized neutron diffraction experiments and density functional theory calculations. This feature accounts for the significant through space-magnetic interactions that occur in most of its mononuclear species and more interestingly it also explains the strengthening of the magnetic interactions in the heterom…

A novel series of rhenium-bipyrimidine complexes: synthesis, crystal structure and electrochemical properties

2007

Four novel rhenium complexes of formula [ReCl(4)(bpym)] (1), [ReBr(4)(bpym)] (2) PPh(4)[ReCl(4)(bpym)] (3) and NBu(4)[ReBr(4)(bpym)] (4) (bpym = 2,2'-bipyrimidine, PPh(4) = tetraphenylphosphonium cation and NBu(4) = tetrabutylammonium cation), have been synthesized and their crystal structures determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The structures of 1 and 2 consist of [ReX(4)(bpym)] molecules held together by van der Waals forces. In both complexes the Re(iv) central atom is surrounded by four halide anions and two nitrogen atoms of a bpym bidentate ligand in a distorted octahedral environment. The structures of 3 and 4 consist of [ReX(4)(bpym)](-) anions and PPh(4)(+) () or NBu(4)…

Synthesis, crystal structure and magnetic properties of novel heterobimetallic malonate-bridged MIIReIV complexes (M = Mn, Fe, Co and Ni).

2008

Five novel ReIV-MII bimetallic complexes of formula [ReCl4(mu-mal)M(dmphen)2].MeCN [M = Co (1), Fe (2) and Ni (3)], [ReCl4(mu-mal)Ni(dmphen)(MeCN)2(H2O)].(MeCN)0.5(H2O)0.5 (4), and [ReCl4(mu-mal)Mn(dmphen)(H2O)2].dmphen.MeCN.H2O (5) (mal = malonate dianion, dmphen = 2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline) have been synthesized, and the structures of 1, 2, 4, and 5 determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The structures of 1 and 2 consist of neutral [ReCl4(mu-mal)M(dmphen)2] dinuclear units where the metal ions are linked through a malonate ligand which adopts simultaneously the bidentate (at ReIV) and monodentate (at MII) coordination modes. The bridging carboxylate-malonate group in them …

Study on the determination of trace rhenium (VII) by the adsorption differential pulse polarography

1989

The determination of trace rhenium (VII) by differential pulse polarography in the system of H2SO4-(NHsOH)2 · H2SO4-TeO2−4 is markedly improved by the addition of Nitron, which is adsorbed on the surface of mercury electrode. The limit of detection is down to 2 × 1010 M. The adsorptive peak potential is −0.80 V (vs. SCE). In the ranges of 5 × 1010—10−8, 1 × 10−5—10−7 and 1 × 10−7—10−6M, there are good linear relationships between the peak current increment and the concentration, of which the relative standard deviations are 9.5, 6.6, 1.8% respectively with the correlation coefficients of linear regression of 0.995–0.999. The results relating to this polarographic wave show that it is an ads…
