Effects of continuous and rotational grazing of different forage species on ewe milk production

Abstract The aim of this research was to evaluate the effects of continuous and rotational grazing of different forage species on milk production in ewes. The forage species were chicory (Cichorium intybus L.), a mixture of oat (Avena sativa L.) and berseem clover (Trifolium alexandrinum L.), and sulla (Hedysarum coronarium L.). Forty ewes were divided into 5 groups, and subjected to one of the following treatments: continuous grazing on chicory, continuous grazing on the mixture, continuous grazing on sulla, rotational grazing on the mixture, or rotational grazing on sulla. The impact of COVID-19 on alternative and local food systems and the potential for the sustainability transition: Insights from 13 countries

The COVID-19 pandemic has been a major stress test for the agri-food system. While most research has analysed the impact of the pandemic on mainstream food systems, this article examines how alternative and local food systems (ALFS) in 13 countries responded in the first months of the crisis. L’opera di Costantino Carasi, artista nativo di Noto, non è facile da definire in termini filologici e formali. Egli fu un artista minore che concorse, assieme ai maggiori, a esplicitare sia il tessuto artistico e culturale, sia la dimensione spirituale e religiosa di un territorio poco indagato. Lo studio esplora i fondamenti di un linguaggio tardo-barocco che si rapporta a personalità come Maratta, Sozzi, D’Anna, che determinarono, tra fine Settecento e prima metà del XVIII secolo, la decorazione pittorica nello spazio liturgico. La costruzione di un monumento tra Controriforma e tradizione gotica: la chiesa dei Gesuiti a Sassari

Primo cantiere di costruzione impegnativo avviato dalla Compagnia di Gesù in Sardegna, la fondazione chiesa dei Gesuiti di Sassari è avviata a partire da un disegno classicista. Un cambio alla testa del cantiere è alla base di una radicale trasformazione del progetto nella fase di costruzione del sistema voltato di copertura, con cupola in pietra sulla crociera. Il saggio analizza le diverse tappe del processo costruttivo e le soluzioni, talora del tutto inedite, messe in campo nel passaggio dal progetto originario al suo adattamento a soluzioni e tecniche in uso nella Sardegna del XVI secolo.
