This paper focuses on the use of evaluation criteria and rubrics as tools for training in an audiovisual translation mode: subtitling for the D/deaf and the hard of hearing (SDH). Following an introduction to the current conception of and research carried out on quality assurance and assessment both in the translation industry and academia, a brief overview of the assessment processes and instruments used in SDH university training and in the professional sector is provided. This is followed by a case study of SDH assessment practices in Spain. Aggregation of activated platelets is considerably mediated by the autocrine action of thromboxane A2 (TxA2) which is formed in a prostaglandin endoperoxide H2 synthase-1 (PGHS-1 or COX-1)-dependent manner. The activity of PGHS-1 can be stimulated by peroxides, an effect termed "peroxide tone", that renders PGHS-1 the key regulatory enzyme in the formation of TxA2. Activated platelets release nitric oxide (*NO) and superoxide (O*2) but their interactions with the prostanoid pathway have been controversially discussed in platelet physiology and pathophysiology. The metabolites of the genus onopordum (asteraceae): Chemistry and biological properties

Onopordum is an interesting genus belonging to the tribe Cardueae (Asteraceae family), and the species of this genus are used as food and in the popular medicine of several countries. The present paper reviews all the metabolites present in all the species of this genus, reported up to 2009, and several chemotaxonomic consideration have been made. Furthermore, the occurrence in other genus, the spectral data, the synthetic approaches, the chemical modifications and the biological properties of the sesquiterpenes of genus Onopor- dum have been reviewed.

Tutkimuksen tehtävänä on selvittää, miten Paperiliitto on toiminut suomalaisen yhteiskunnan rakennemuutoksen vuosina 1985-2009. 1980-luvulla tehtiin poliittisia päätöksiä, jotka avasivat kotimaisia markkinoita ulkomaiselle kilpailulle ja omistukselle. Suomi otti ensiaskeleita kohti globalisaatiota. Metsäteollisuudessa se johti perinteisten vientiyhdistysten hajoamiseen ja toimialan kansainvälistymiseen. Samalla paperiteollisuuden kotimaiset työpaikat ovat vähentyneet lähes puoleen 1970-luvulta tähän päivään mennessä. Tutkielman tarkoituksena oli selvittää, miten pitkän uran tehnyt opettaja on kokenut viime vuosikymmenten yhteiskunnalliset ja arvolliset muutokset kasvatuksen kentällä. Fenomenologis-hermeneuttinen tapaustutkimus perustuu aiemmalle tutkimustiedolle, tutkijan omille kokemuksille sekä ajankohtaiselle keskustelulle. Aineisto itsessään on kerätty teemahaastattelun avulla. Tutkimuskysymykset on esitetty ensimmäisessä luvussa, ja niihin etsitään vastauksia eri tieteenaloilta valittujen tutkimusten, haastatteluaineiston sekä asiantuntijoiden kirjoittamiin artikkeleiden avulla. Slimība ir hroniska un progresē pēc 45 gadu vecuma saistībā ar nepilnvērtīgu uzturu un mazkustīgu dzīvesveidu. Katru gadu 2. tipa cukura diabēta pacientu skaits pieaug un līdz ar to arī antidiabētisko līdzekļu patēriņš. Darba mērķis bija izpētīt 2. tipa cukura diabēta ārstēšanai paredzēto medikamentu apriti aptiekā un ar antidiabētisko medikamentu lietošanu saistītās blakusparādības. Toxicity as prime selection criterion among SARS-active herbal medications

We present here a new selection criterion for prioritizing research on efficacious drugs for the fight against COVID-19: the relative toxicity versus safety of herbal medications, which were effective against SARS in the 2002/2003 epidemic. We rank these medicines according to their toxicity versus safety as basis for preferential rapid research on their potential in the treatment of COVID-19. The data demonstrate that from toxicological information nothing speaks against immediate investigation on, followed by rapid implementation of Lonicera japonica, Morus alba, Forsythia suspensa, and Codonopsis spec. for treatment of COVID-19 patients.
