Flores, estrellas y espirales son la expresion de los tres elementos, mientras que el pez muestra el camino hacia el más allá.

This volume, with the preface by Giovanni Filoramo, collects some of the sacred images of "Hinduism" of other religions born in India (Shikism, Buddhism), exhibited during the exhibition of the same name at the Antonio Pasqualino International Puppet Museum from November 22 to December 31. 2007. These cult images are venerated in temples, in private homes and on the streets throughout India. The central idea was to show the iconographic path that these paintings (or photographs) have had in the popular imagination. An informative caption corresponds to each "portrait".

This is an area which is worthy of scrutiny with regard to its emergence, development, uniqueness, position, performance, changes and continuity. Praktyka pielgrzymowania występuje we wszystkich prawie religiach. Ludzie pielgrzymują do miejsc świętych, aby spełniać tam określone akty pobożności i pokuty. W Polsce najważniejszym centrum pielgrzymkowym jest Jasna Góra, którą rokrocznie odwiedza 4-5 mln pątników. Od 1979 roku wyrusza do Częstochowy piesza pielgrzymka z Halemby – jednej z dzielnic Rudy Śląskiej. Każdego roku bierze w niej udział kilkaset osób (młodzież, średnie pokolenie, rodzice z dziećmi, niepełnosprawni na wózkach inwalidzkich), które idą pieszo w obie strony. The subject of kalivarjyas, their origin, and their place within Brahmanical ideology has attracted keen interest from various scholars. Indeed, the kalivarjyas constitute ‘exceptions’ to the dharmic norm that seem to invalidate the authority of the dharma itself. However, they allow us to verify how the dharma has been constantly adapted to the new requirements that have emerged with the transformations that have taken place in India over time in the religious and socio-political spheres.
