Optical sensor for remote estimation of alcohol concentration in blood stream

Abstract The purpose of this manuscript is to validate our recently developed novel optical approach for extraction of remote vibration sources as a successful technique to estimate the alcohol concentration in blood stream. This technique is based on the tracking of temporal changes of reflected secondary speckle patterns produced in human skin when being illuminated by a laser beam. Pētījuma mērķis bija salīdzināt kravas auto vadītāju uzvedību uz ceļa saistībā ar darba un atpūtas laika ievērošanu. Pētījuma izlases sastāvēja no 111 vīriešiem, kuri strādā par kravas auto šoferiem un izmanto kravas automašīnu darba vajadzībām, vecumā no 24 līdz 66 gadiem, vidējais vecums 45,43 gadi. Pētījuma dalībniekiem tika piedāvāts aizpildīt autovadītāju uzvedības aptauju (Drivers Behaviour Questionnaire, DBQ; Reason, Manstead, Stradling, Baxter, & Campbell, 1990), adaptāciju latviešu valodā veikuši V. The widespread use of pesticides, especially in agricultural areas, makes necessary to control their presence in surrounding surface waters. The current study was designed to investigate the occurrence and ecological risks of pesticides and their transformation products in a Mediterranean river basin impacted by citrus agricultural production. Nineteen sites were monitored in three campaigns distributed over three different seasons. After a qualitative screening, 24 compounds was selected for subsequent quantitative analysis. A geophysical investigation that included seismic-reflection surveying and time-domain electromagnetics (EM) was carried out in the Flumendosa River Delta plain in southeastern Sardinia, Italy. The objective was to improve knowledge of geologic and hydrogeologic controls on a highly productive aquifer hosted in thick Quaternary deposits and known to be affected by an extensive saltwater intrusion. Unfiltered and filtered (0.45 and 0.2 microm) water samples and sediment samples (sieved to180 microm and 180-1000 microm) were collected along an approximately 15 km transect of the River Fal, Cornwall, UK, to examine the impact of the disused South Terras uranium mine on the uranium concentrations of the river water and underlying sediments. The uranium concentration of the water samples fluctuated along the river, with the 0.45 microm filtered water showing the largest, seven-fold, difference between minimum (0.19 microg L(-1)) and maximum (1.34 microg L(-1)) concentrations.
