A bivariate genetic analysis among 217 older female twin pairs showed that, although the structural strength of tibia and radius are mainly regulated by same genetic and environmental factors, the tibia is more affected by environment. An electroosmotic pump flow injection system is introduced in this paper. According to electroosmotic theory, the pump's properties were described. A large flow range (mul min(-1)-ml min(-1)), moderate carrier pressure (0.15 MPa), reduced performance voltage (500 V) and stable flow rate (RSD3.0% in 4 h) are the main properties of the pump. NH(4)OH (0.35 mM) was used as carrier for improving the pump's flow stability. The electroosmotic efficiency of the pump's medium, porous core, can be recovered and regenerated. Dichrooscytus gustavi differs from D. rufipennis and D. intermedius primarily by a smaller size of the body and the entirely green scutellum. Its occurrence has been confirmed so far in more than ten European countries, where it was reported to live on Juniperus communis L. and also on different introduced species of Cupressaceae. In this note the first locality of this species in Poland is presented. This longitudinal cohort study examined the hazard of hip fractures in 1844 male former athletes and 1216 population controls and in relation to exercise volume and intensity in later years. [EN] Effective treatment of Parkinson's disease (PD) involves administration of therapeutic agents with complementary mechanisms of action in order to replenish, sustain or substitute endogenous dopamine. The objective of this study was to investigate anodal co-iontophoresis of pramipexole (PRAM; dopamine agonist) and rasagiline (RAS; MAO-B inhibitor) in vitro and in vivo. Passive permeation of PRAM and RAS (20 mM each) across porcine skin after 6 h was 15.7 +/- 1.9 and 16.0 +/- 2.9 mu g/cm(2), respectively. Tarkoitus: Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää, onko Murtumatta mukana – lujuutta liikkumalla – vertaiskoulutettujen ohjaajien ohjaamiin vertaisliikuntaryhmiin osallistumisella yhteyttä ryhmäläisten fyysiseen aktiivisuuteen, fyysiseen toimintakykyyn ja tasapainoon. Menetelmät: Tutkimusasetelma oli havainnoiva poikkileikkausasetelma. Eläkeliiton osoittamat vertaisohjaajat Jyväskylän ja Lapuan alueella tiedottivat tutkimuksesta ja jakoivat kysely-lomakkeita tutkimuksesta kiinnostuneille vertaisliikuntaryhmäläisille. Ville Vallgrenin museo, Porvoon museon erillinen osasto, avattiin toukokuussa 1925. Museossa oli esillä kuvanveistäjä Ville Vallgrenin veistoksia. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena on selvittää eri konteksteja, jotka ovat vaikuttaneet museon suunnitteluun 1920-luvulla, kuvanveisto ja museonäyttelyiden suunnittelu näistä tärkeimpinä. Lisäksi käsitellään museolle annettuja merkityksiä sen perustamisaikana.
