Laadullisen tutkimuksen päätavoitteena oli pureutua siihen, miten opettaja ymmärtää ja rakentaa pedagogisen auktoriteettinsa koulun arjessa. Koska auktoriteettisuhde ei todennu ajatuksissa, puheessa ja kuvitelmissa, tutkin myös, miten auktoriteetti toimii ja saa oikeutuksen luokkatilanteessa. Pedagoginen auktoriteetti liitetään taustakirjallisuudessa toisaalta varsinaisen vallankäytön ulkopuoliseen, kasvatukseen liittyvään auktoriteettisuhteeseen, toisaalta korostetaan henkilösuhteen merkitystä auktoriteettisuhteen muotoutumisessa. Activated carbons are widely used in different industrial processes for example as adsorbents or as support materials. Advantageously these carbons can be prepared from residual or waste biomass materials. Different raw material type and activation procedure plays an important role in the physico-chemical characteristics of activated carbon e.g. surface area, porosity and pore distribution. In this study, activated carbon has been prepared from lignocellulosic waste materials (e.g. saw dust, lignin residue) and characterized by a number of methods. Naturalne zbiorniki wodne są w Europie bardzo cennymi obszarami pod względem florystycznym. Wśród nich ważne dla zachowania różnorodności biologicznej flory w Polsce są źródła. Niniejsza praca przedstawia pierwsze w Polsce stanowisko Potametum pectinati Carstensen 1955 z klasy Potametea w limnokrenowym źródle krasowym. Dotychczas zespól ten nie był notowany w tego typu siedlisku w Europie. W artykule przedstawiono skład florystyczny i wymagania ekologiczne tego zespołu.

Strain hardening in liquid-particle suspensions

The behavior of a liquid-particle suspension induced to sheared motion was analyzed by numerical simulations. When the velocity (strain) of the suspension began to increase, its viscosity first stayed almost constant, but increased then rapidly to a clearly higher level. This increase in viscosity is shown to be related to formation of clusters of suspended particles. Clusters are shown to increase the viscosity by enhanced momentum transfer though clustered particles. This is the mechanism behind the strain-hardening phenomenon observed in small-strain experiments on liquid-particle suspensions.

The organization of times and places of work are key elements of working conditions, and define employees’ possibilities for balancing work and other life spheres. This study analyses several aspects of temporal and spatial flexibility, and their associations with employees’ work-life balance. This study separates four dimensions of temporal flexibility and one indicator of spatial flexibility. The dimensions of temporal flexibility are the number of hours worked, when the hours are worked, work-time intensity, and the degree of working-time autonomy.
