Hydrothermal co-liquefaction of sewage sludge and formic acid

The biocrude produced by non-catalytic hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL) has a too high heteroatom content to be used directly as a fuel [1-3]. Several studies found that different H2 initial pressures during HTL experiments were ineffective in improving the biocrude yield [4-6], nevertheless it was observed that higher initial pressures of H2 brought an improvement of the concentration of light compounds in the biocrude, decreasing the average molecular weight of biocrude oil. Using a microhistorical analysis method, we study the town of Lliria (Valencia) and its brotherhood of ?La Sang de Jesucrist? Recently, many studies explored the role of inflammation parameters in the prognosis of urinary cancers, but the results were not consistent. The modified Glasgow Prognostic Score (mGPS), a systemic inflammation marker, is a prognostic marker in various types of cancers. International audience; Volcanoes are unstable structures that deform laterally and frequently experience mass wasting events. Hydrothermal alteration is often invoked as a mechanism that contributes significantly to volcano instability. We present a study that combines laboratory experiments, geophysical data, and large-scale numerical modeling to better understand the influence of alteration on volcano stability, using La Soufrière de Guadeloupe (Eastern Caribbean) as a case study. Measures of the Massive Mountain in Aleksis Kivi’s Play Kullervo

The story of a prisoner inside an enormous steel mountain is embedded in Kullervo, an early Finnish tragedy by 19th-century author Aleksis Kivi. I focus here on the exceptional size of the mountain, as told by the main character, Kullervo. Although the embedded story has aroused admiration in research, the mountain’s size and form do not appear to have done so. If taken literally, and assuming the shape of a double pyramid, at a minimum, the mountain’s surface area would be between that of Earth and Uranus, a planet that Kivi was somehow aware of.
