Microwave-assisted conversion of novel biomass materials into levulinic acid

Levulinic acid is considered one of the most important platform chemicals. It is currently produced mainly from lignocellulosic biomasses. However, there are also other abundant biomass materials, which could be used as raw materials for levulinic acid production. In this work, levulinic acid was produced from two novel biomasses in the presence of Brønsted (H2SO4) and Lewis acid (CrCl3·6H2O or AlCl3·6H2O) catalysts. Celem przeprowadzonych badań było rozpoznanie adaptacyjnych i dezadaptacyjnych przekonań ułatwiających lub utrudniających funkcjonowanie młodzieży w życiu społecznym. Badania przeprowadzono wśród 146 wychowanków placówek resocjalizacyjnych i 134 uczniów szkół gimnazjalnych oraz ponadgimnazjalnych (grupa porównawcza). This study compares the division of domestic work among dual-career and other dual-earner couples. We examine whether gender attitudes, relative resources and working time explain the differences between dual-career and other dual-earner couples. We define dual-career couples as those in which both spouses are professionals and/or managers. The division of housework is important for these couples because of the intense pressures of work. We hypothesise that domestic work is more equally shared among dual-career couples than among other dual-earner couples. Bonded joints are highly sensitive to the presence of defects and to the degradation phenomena, and this aspect represents the primary obstacle to their use in different structural engineering applications. Delamination in a bonded joint represents, in fact, one of the primary, most common and insidious causes of damage. In this paper, a numerical–experimental study on the crack propagation along the adhesive layer of a bonded joint specimen is carried out. This article analyzes the research output of doctoral theses in the field of Education defended in Spain from 1841-2012. It offers a quantified global and diachronic view of such series. As a landmark to note is the fact that until 1954, obtaining a doctoral degree was centralized at the Complutense University of Madrid.
