Effectiveness of Corruption Defence Strategy by the host states under ICSID Arbitration

The corruption phenomena have been a dominant and well-known challenge for international investment and trade in general. However, this challenge achieved a more tangible scale of problematics due to the host state willingness to bypass investment protection mechanisms such as relevant BIT in order to conduct expropriation without legal and economic consequences. As a result, Corruption Defence Strategy was invented. Background: Sleep apnoea syndrome (SAS), one of the main medical causes of excessive daytime sleepiness, has been shown to be a risk factor for traffic accidents. Treating SAS results in a normalized rate of traffic accidents. As part of the COST Action B-26, we looked at driving license regulations, and especially at its medical aspects in the European region.
