Kelpoinen ja/vai pätevä? Aineenopettajat ja luokanopettajat alkavan B1-ruotsin opettajina

Vuonna 2016 käyttöön otetuissa perusopetuksen opetussuunnitelman perusteissa osa B1-oppimäärän ruotsin kielen opetuksesta siirtyi yläluokilta alaluokille. Toisen kotimaisen kielen, ruotsin, keskipitkän oppimäärän opiskelu aloitetaan nykyisin jo kuudennella vuosiluokalla. Tämän muutoksen osana myös luokanopettajien opetustehtäviin tuli mukaan ruotsin kielen opettaminen. Ruotsin kieltä voi siis opiskelun alkaessa opettaa alaluokilla sekä luokanopettaja että ruotsin kielen aineenopettaja. Myös kielikylpykoulutuksen koulutusohjelman suorittanut opettaja on kelpoinen opettamaan ruotsin kieltä. Ruotsin kielen opetus siirtyi alkamaan 6. luokalta uuden perusopetuksen opetussuunnitelman myötä. Keskustelua ovat aiheuttaneet esimerkiksi tuntijako, opettajien kielitaito ja ruotsin opetuksen pedagogiikka alakoulussa. Artikkelissa käsitellään Aikuis- ja täydennyskoulutuspalvelut AIKOPAn järjestämää opettajien täydennyskoulutusta, jossa pyrittiin parantamaan ruotsia opettavien aineenhallintaa ja pedagogista osaamista. Tulokset olivat positiivisia, ja täydennyskoulutukselle on selkeästi tilausta jatkossakin. nonPeerReviewed

This chapter tackles the role a Jagiellonian princess, Catherine Jagiellon, has been given in Swedish and Finnish history culture. It illustrates how her figure has entered the historical-cultural memory of both countries, forging and re-forging their national self-image from the end of the sixteenth century through the Cold War, and into contemporary school history teaching. The chapter highlights the differences as well as the similarities of collective memory and history culture associated with Catherine Jagiellon in two Nordic countries with a shared history. In 2013, the authors prepared a report on educational excellence and equity in Finland based on PISA 2009 data and asked the question “Could Finland achieve both excellence and equality goals in the coming decade? Five years later, this report re-examines the challenge faced by Finland in light of recent PISA results. The Finnish school system, both the Finnish and Swedish speaking components, have consistently ranked at the top of the list of OECD countries. Discursive Constructions of White Nordic Masculinities in Right-wing Populist Media

Using superordinate intersectionality as a theoretical framework, this article explores notions of men and masculinities within right wing populism. It is attentive to how the right-wing populist media in Finland and Sweden construct white Nordic masculinities through discursive interactions across several axes of difference: gender (masculinities); sexuality (heterosexuality); social class (elites); and race (whitenesses). Tämän tutkielman tarkoitus on selvittää, millaisia englannin kielestä lainattuja sanoja ruotsalaiset nuoret käyttävät internetin keskustelupalstoilla. Tutkielmassa tarkastellaan lingvistisestä näkökulmasta sanoja, jotka on lainattu ruotsin kieleen aikaisintaan 1950-luvulla. Tutkimusaineisto koostuu 83 ruotsalaisella Ungdomar.se-keskustelufoorumilla vuosina 2009 ja 2010 käydystä elokuva- ja tv-aiheisesta keskustelusta. Aineiston analysoimisessa on käytetty sekä määrällisiä että laadullisia tutkimusmenetelmiä.
