Carbohydrates in Jerusalem artichoke powder suspension

Purpose – The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of temperature and action time on the extraction rate of carbohydrates of Jerusalem artichoke concentrate powder and inactivation of inulin during boiling and sterilization.Design/methodology/approach – Water suspension of Jerusalem artichoke concentrate (5g/100ml) at 25, 50 and 100○C was tested after 5, 15, 30 and 60min to determine the content of inulin, glucose, fructose and sucrose and evaluate the extraction rate. The stability of inulin was studied after boiling and sterilization at 120○C during 1, 2 and 3h. Trans Justice Fights Trans Moral Panic

Between the summer of 2019 and the summer of 2021, a violent discussion about trans rights took place in Spain. This paper argues that the discussion can be understood as an instance of ‘social problems work’, more specifically as part of a moral crusade or a moral panic episode. Implicit in this is the idea that there has been an over-reaction to trans recognition and trans equality laws, publicly presented as a major social problem. This paper also provides legal arguments against the fears voiced in the discussion, by summarizing relevant ECHR case-law that agrees with an alternative feminist account of trans rights that de-pathologizes gender-identity self-determination. The research goal the article was to present the ways of polemical fight of Cyril of Jerusalem in pre-baptismal catecheses given by him during the period of Lent. Catechumens, listening to catechetical speeches of their bishop, often leamed about the existence of various theological misinterpretation. The Jerusalem shepherd noted at the beginning of his cycle of catecheses that he would pay attention to the heretical views. The bishop included an extensive description of the existing at that time false faith groups in one of the initial catechesis to sensitize the listeners to the spiritual evil introduced into their minds by heretics. Tekst przedłożonego artykułu przedstawia nauczanie Cyryla Jerozolimskiego († 387) na temat Ducha Świętego w ramach jego interpretacji tzw. symbolu wiary stosowanego w Jerozolimie. Będąc autorem 18 katechez wygłoszonych do katechumenów i 5 skierowanych do neofitów, dwie z nich poświęcił przekazaniu nauki o Duchu Świętym. Są nimi Katecheza XVI i Katecheza XVII umieszczone w cyklu nauk katechetycznych przeznaczonych dla katechumenów. Certas peculiaridades da linguaxe dos textos artísticos son difíciles de transmitir na tradución, aínda que se trate das características dominantes do estilo dun poeta. Isto é especialmente certo cando nos enfrontamos a estilos tan innovadores dende o punto de vista lingüístico como os de Rimbaud ou Apollinaire. From 1338 onwards, the inhabitants of late-medieval Valencia celebrated a feast every 9 October commemorating the entrance into the city of King James I’s forces on that day in 1238. It has been argued that this was essentially a spiritual display from its establishment in 1338 until the beginning of the fifteenth century. The present study delves deeper into the religious and political aims of the feast from its origins, framing the celebration within a broader Mediterranean context.
