In Fantomas against the multinational vampires (1975) Julio Cortázar mixes a verbal narration with comic strips and with the Russell Tribunal political report. The text is a place of negotiation between some different ways of understanding the relationship between literature, culture and politics. Cortazar was trying to give an answer to the latinoamerican intellectual debates on these issues.

This thesis is devoted to the study of affine T-varieties using the Altmann-Hausen presentation. We are especially interested in the case of hyperbolic actions of the multiplicative group Gm. In the first part, exotic affine spaces are studied, that is, smooth contractible affine varieties, assuming in addition that they are endowed with a Gm-action. We first discuss our methodology and expectations in terms of operationality of the fractal dimension theoretically and geometrically. An empirical analysis is then performed on the southern periphery of Brussels (Brabant Wallon).
